Localization is terrible. 44:20 Zelda is screaming at Link "shinanai de" over and over, which essentially means "don't die" or "you can't die!". English translation spits out "Link, get up! You're going to be just fine?" way to ruin a moment.
im not 100% sure, but I think the subs are meant to be transcriptions of the English dub which I know, doesn't make any sense. But I think it's the case. It wouldn't be the first game to do so. Octopath Traveler does the exact same thing, when you switch the game to english the 'subtitles' are word for word the exact same and I thinkt that's the problem. Why would you even do that?
@@Phoenix_1991 Because it costs more to write two sets of subtitles. Also, don't forget that the early versions of BotW wouldn't even let you choose the dub. If you wanted to play it in English, you were stuck with nothing but the English dub *shudder*.
its not that bad. the english lines work just as well. they both get the same point across. shes desperate. i actually prefer how english zelda gets mad at the goddesses/the power. she says "curse you" and "that cursed power" when in japanese im pretty sure theres none of that.
this video is too underrated.
the best edit so far. thanks much dude
Thank you so much for this!

Did anyone notice Revali smiling at Mipha when she relaxed 14:38?? ;-;
the voice acting is SO MUCH BETTER in this than in the english version
why do people always have to compare, just enjoy it without hating 🤦♀️
@@0xHaustIts not hating, he's giving his opinion. Lol.
And the Jap dub its really superior.
@@AceeLab True, but Revali just makes it worser.. He sounds as annoying, (english dub for revali is better imo)
thank you for sharing 😋😋😋😋
