Incredible and amusing. Rana Adhikari should get into science education. Teens will be hooked with his wit and dry humor

That will be a huge waste of his talent

@@southpole9450 I don't want to agree with you, but unfortunately, that is true, science communication is generally avoided by the bright minds(except few) as it really hits their productivity. Even NDT acknowledged this.

I think his shirts/looks is very deliberate and cultivated look!! No doubt the side benefit is free of apparel burdens.

A very relaxed and virtually informal style of lecture. Obviously not a professional public speaker. Nevertheless, an entertaining, amusing, and informative lecture. I wonder why they didn't use an UltraViolet laser. Since the frequency is higher I would think it would make the interferometer more accurate or sensitive. Perhaps the difference between infrared and UltraViolet is not sufficiently large to make much of a difference. After all the visible light frequencies is a very narrow band between the highest frequency, gamma rays, and the lowest frequency, gravity waves. If it was possible to do a gamma ray laser and find material or some method working as a mirror for gamma rays then perhaps the sensitivity would be sufficient to detect collusions of Jupiter Mass objects or perhaps even Moon sized objects.

Very funny presentation and very informative at the same time.

As a theorist, I have to disagree that they are "better". Each informs the other and without the results of experiments, theories would be useless and incapable of adaptation.
In many ways Engineers are better because they take theories and test them... and apply them.
Without them we wouldnt have the comforts of life we currently enjoy.

Isn't this quantum gravity seen in light actually. RANA ?
