    In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

    I know this an older video. But if you are looking at either transducer just get the LVS34. As of late 2024 Garmin has actually discontinued the LVS32 transducer. You can still find some deals online for refurbished ones. But if you want the best in livescope get the LVS34.

    Great information, I did the new update, my system has not worked correctly since. After 2 days on water it’s better, but a lot of wasted time. Already spent about $4600.00 on my system, another $1700.00 could cause a Divorce……
    Time will tell, I think part of problems are low voltage, get this fixed then I will decide… In the mean time start saving…

    A wider beam would not be good as the wider the beam the less likely you are to be accurate to getting your lure next to fish when casting out far. The 18 degrees is the optimal width for clarity and accuracy. Livescope is not meant for scanning but more so for sniping fish once located on traditional sonars.

    Good morning boss! Figured I'd weigh in on the livescope real quick. I purchased the 1243xsv 12" screen with the black box and transducer. After a years of use fishing in locals rivers and lakes I am not impressed with it. First of all, I have watch over 100 videos of people using this system and how to set it up. I just can not get the same beautiful clear picture that I have been seeing on UA-cam videos. I have triple checked everything and know for a fact I have it all set up correctly. The river/lake bed NEVER looks as clear and smooth as the videos on UA-cam. Also, I can NEVER spot bass of any size. I am able to locate and see schools of crappie, however they always show up blurry and not as clear as said videos. Maybe it's just me not doing something right. But I find that hard to believe, I've spent hours upon hours trying to get this thing set up to look as clear as said videos with zero luck. I'm really starting to believe that all these videos are fabricated BS lol. But I may be wrong! I'd also like to add, the river I fish in varies between 20 to 8 ft deep depending on areas you travel. When fishing smaller creeks say 10' deep I keep my setting on 30' ahead of boat and 12' deep .....I can NEVER see ANY fish until the boat is literally 2' away or right into of them. I'll end with this note.....as a avid bass fisherman, I have paid over $4500 for this set up and would be willing to pay someone 1k cash if they can step into my boat and set this thing up to find fish and see the bottom as clear as these UA-cam videos! Haha.

    • @Piscifun
      @Piscifun  2 роки тому +1

      I would think it’s in the settings because my setup can do everything you say you’re struggling with. I can see bass no problem at 20’ deep

They have had plenty of time to make changes and I know a lot of ppl that have went back to humminbird or lowrance. I personally went back to humminbird and got mega live because Garmin pissed around to long and they wanted so much for their stuff. It's been 10 months. At the current date, are you ready to say that the upgrade from LVS32 to LVS34 cost every dollar of money? And the picture has become revolutionarily better? I mean, I myself am now facing a choice - to upgrade or not to the 34 sensor? Or tell me a little bit that all this is bullshit and the money spent for 32 is enough to detect fish in fresh water in conditions of a large reservoir with depths up to 15 meters? I apologize for the mistakes, my English is not my native language...
