Brad Guzan joined the broadcast team in goal in the middle of the 2019 MLS All-Star game against Atlético de Madrid at Orlando’s Exploria Stadium in this very special edition of Mic'd Up. He answers questions, shouts instructions for his defense, gets booed, and cracks some jokes all while keeping the goal clean of balls. Nothing phases this veteran!
This is Guzan's second consecutive MLS All-Star appearance and has posted a league-best eight shutouts in 2019 through Atlanta’s first 15 matches. Atlanta has conceded 11 goals, the fewest in MLS this season and Guzan’s shutout streak of 520 minutes is the longest in MLS this season and ranks 10th place among individuals in league history.

I could tell he was pissed off. He's trying to focus but he's being hounded by questions. It's a good idea to mic him up but don't talk to him and distract him.
Willzuh I think he's alright, he agreed to do a test run, I'm sure he was prepared to have people In his ear. The only change needed is a mute button on the earpiece so the GK can toggle on and off when needed.

I like the mic but not the interview. As a keeper myself we need to focus and command the team and have no time for interview. But I like the idea of the mic and hope to see more of it.

Been saying it all over, really cool idea, but keeper needs to focus, and I wouldn't trust the producer to control it, so have a mute bottom on the keepers earpiece so they can toggle it on/off. Immersive idea, a very MLS idea, in a good way!

Maybee no to the Interview, but to have the GK Mic'd up brings in amazing immerse experience to watching the game. I mean when you watch the game live, you can hear the GK shouting anyway , but to have the audience hear it... now thats why the MLS will certainly surpass LIGA MX in the next 2 years.

Anyone who saw this game live knows the goalkeeper actually conceded a goal because he was too distracted with answering the commentators stupid questions. It was hilarious actually. Don’t know what the MLS was thinking, this idea had U.S. written all over it.
