I hope this comes out on dvd.
RIP luke, Ciaran, Ronnie & Barney. You will never be forgotten.
I want this dvd. Back in the 70's when I suffered from severe depression, drinking beer and listening to Dubliners records saved my life. In my 70's they are still my heroes.
@@bbtom4098 I was a 70s kid and i discovered the Dubliners in 1978 aged 9 and I immediately fell in love with this awesome and strong Irish band I saw them in concert in my hometown in 1988 when I was 19 and the members were Barney Mckenna Ronnie Drew John Sheehan Sean Cannon and Eamon Campbell they were very nice to me and some Irish men last year did a tribute to the Dubliners and I learnt that John Sheehan no longer performs he is multi music talented
luke is so sadly missed. he was the heart and soul of the dubs
Thank you so much you tube for suggesting this to me. You would not believe how happy it has made me. Long live the Dubliners. xxxx
The amazing skill of John Sheahan on the violin has yet to be appreciated and acknowledged. Every word springs individually from the strings of his fiddle. Marvellous skill entirely.
Brilliant, love this vid !! Big tears were there when Barney McKenna sang "I wish I had someone to love me" he lived to play and sing and spread the Irish music around the world. Love it !! And then the final with several singers and musicians - amazing and heart-warming !!
Lovely to see Ronnie's family
What more can you do than just love them and enjoy their music and their personalities!
Lovely to see Paddy in good health!
That man's voice....!
Thank you so much for posting this video!
This is wonderful.and great to see Gay Byrne who was the best compere RTE ever had loved him.He made a show like this come to life,
This music is rich. Their voices express so much feeling and passion.
I can't believe that I, a 19 year old lad, am going to see them live later this year in october, very near to my hometown. I've never been looking forward to any event more in my life.
It's sad Barney and the others aren't alive today to witness the 50th anniversary tour. May God bless them!
I am from Saudi Arabia and I'm a huge fan of The Dubliners!!
Vous êtes fantastiques et resterez dans mon coeur !
After 'Ray' and 'Walk the Line', Hollywood should make a movie about the life of those legends!
god rest you Barney
True legends, an amazing show from amazing voices you'll never forget
This is the greatest upload I have ever enjoyed . Pure magic. Thank you very much for this and thank you so very much for the fantastic Dubliners in all their guises.
this is music for the soul. may Barney rest in peace.
If there actually is a heaven, you know that all the original members have started their own Dubliners reunion as we speak.
Barney McKenna has left the stage. RIP. Thanks for the music cousin.
The Dubliners - The best stuff from Ireland !!!
Must not forget Bobby Lynch.I know he was'nt with them long but he was still a member of the Dubliners and was on their second album
It's great to hear from Eamonn Campbell, you very rarely hear him speak.
Man, this is felt. Beautiful, beautiful - Barney is a great musician and a poet! (0:27:05 and foreward)
the best irish folk band....i love it...
Thanks to Barney.. From Portugal
Thank you so much for upload. I can't participate in such events, being in the other country, but thanks to you I have the opportunity to listen to so wonderful music.

No that was Barney McKenna.. I mixed the names up because of the age of 72. He died at the age of 72.

@machree01 Thanks a lot. I have been searching for this song such a long time.
Of course mate, I forgot about him. RIP Bobby. Thanks Sid
The best entertainmenti have had for years
Paddy does not appear on stage, but he DOES appear sitting in the audience on the aisle pretty early on.
Thank you so much. This is going to be a great hour!
I would have liked to see Paddy Reilly sing more! He's my favorite Dubliner!
tears
Brilliant
thanks for upload! love this
My thoughts exactly, he seems to withstand the age of time.
Thanks for posting!
WOOOOHOOOOOOO I'll see them in Zagreb this Friday, can't wait!!!! :D
AWESOME!
great RIPBarney
not one dislike! absolutely unreal stuff!
RIP Barney!
I actually wanted to say the oposite; if you watch their 40 anniversary and compare it with this one, Paddy doesn't seem to have aged one day.
very good
That was great - thanks!
I wonder does anyone have a copy of the full 25th Anniversary show? There's a couple of clips. I *think* I saw it at the time but not 100% sure...
Ronnie's daughter is an exceptionally beautiful woman.
He died on 6. April 2012.. unfortunately
Brilliant, thank you, I woundnt have recognised Paddy Reilly , he has aged that much.
Happy St Patricks to all!

Gee there's a bevvy of famous faces there.
What ever happened to that famous long-neck banjo of Luke Kelly?
Who gave a dislike to this, may their thumbs fell off!!!
Barney McKenna
Can someone please upload John sheahans irish medley on this page?

Members of this group that joined in later years were not compatible with the original Dubliners . B
Totally agree😊❤
I know are you from Ireland
I believe it's called 'Cooley's'
What`s the song called at 7:12?
The old Triangle
17:56 he rudly interupts the woman.. pretty funny :D
You see her swallowing those words hard after lol :D
I feel for ya misses !
Kind of sad really....
what's the song at 15.00 please????
Dicey Reilly
marco cacco Dicey Reilly - song about an infamous Dublin prostitute.
Dang, Paddy Reilly is dead, too? Well, more disappointment for me.
Paddy isnt dead. He was in the audience and all
The only ones who have gained their wings are Luke Ronnie Barney Jim Ciaran Eamonn and Bob.
great song at the end ruined by dreariness
We all realise that it's totally impossible to replace Luke but that voice of Sean Cannon - it's terrible! There must be a Dubliner somewhere that has a decent voice. Patsy was really amazing in The Dublin City Ramblers, but he's a bit seedy now.
Sean cannon was a fantastic singer
