Wow right time... I was searching for this video to understand the conversion and at right time it released... thanks ..very useful... please try to create separate channel and post NRI related videos... 1. I'm not sure whether SSY investment allowed to continue or not? 2.If we have any existing LIC policy or SSY before NRI then what it will happen ? 3.Additionally, what are the brokerage charges for NRI in Zerodha. 4.For local money transfer to other Indian SB account whether we can use NRE to do direct money transfer or better, first transfer to NRO and then to other SB accounts? 5.If tax detected directly at source, then do we still need to file ITR and if so then, do we need to use ITR2 form? 6.What are the implication of not converting to NRI NRO? 7.How about existing LIC insurance policy ? Anything to intimate them? These are the few question which I have doubts. Please clarify and it will be helpful. Thanks and your videos are very useful and the way you explain is very short and straightforward.
Bro I am from Germany … I am investing in mutual and stock and following you Video. As you said is true because there are no enough Videos about NRI in Tamil. Thank you for your video …. And reallly I need more video about NRI investment in India Please my humble request to consider making video for NRI investment which will be more usefull for peaple like me ….. I love you bro for this content …
Hi bro, did you convert your resident account to nri account. I mean your demat. ? How did the process go. Can you please let me know. Or one should sell the portfolio in resident account and start with nri demat account.
Interested in more NRI investment options in India, do and don’t etc. Also talk about “stop loss” feature and best practices for long term investors . Been following you for a while now, feeling so useful. Thanks.
Very good explanation, brother! This video is much needed and raises important awareness. Thank you for sharing it with us. I've been working in Dubai for 9 years, but I haven't done what you explained. My first priority now is to do this.
Woww. Worth content. Infact this is the first video in Tamil who clearly talk about NRI d-account and trading options. Thanks for the content, really it worth it.
Good idea to have an NRI general/ finance series!! Covering retirement plans, asset management as an NRI, insurance covering international coverage, wealth management in India, returning back to India, privileges for NRI kids to study in India, medical tourism, other related topics.
Please make more videos on NRI 1. How to convert resident demat account to NRI demat account in Zerodha? 2. Mutual funds investments for NRI- is SOA route better or demat route better?
Very clearly explained. I’m working in Singapore for 5 years now. It was very painful to get it done one by one as you mentioned. Also for the TDS deducted at source while filing ITR we can claim. Like resident Indians income of NRI in India is also not taxable upto first 5L. And for stocks no taxes upto 1L LTCG. So please file ITR regularly and claim the TDS. Thank you.
I have spent lot of hours going through many forums to understand the topics you have covered in this videos but your explanation is super helpful as always crisp and to the point. Keep up the good work bro 🤝🏻. As an NRI i am looking forward to join a community or channel to watch your quality content.
Indeed it took me days and weeks of work to go through articles and forums to understand them clearly when I started out as well, I can clearly understand you.
Hi Actually my brother(incidentally a NRI too) suggested your channel to me. Really appreciate watching your videos that are insightful. Thank you very much. We are all in for NRI channel.
Awesome! I got clarity on few things which I struggle to find out. I suggest you to provide a google or Microsoft form to post questions. It will be useful to sort the queries and address the information in the future on respective topic videos. Form can have some prefilled Choice to categorize the topic and uncovered title can go to miscellaneous. You can later add the title to the form.
Very crystal clear explanation bro.. the way you are delivering your content is simply superb..i am seeing your video for thr 1st time.. immediately i have subscribed.. All the very best..
amazing video, But (1) what if resident savings to NRO or NRE account conversion is delayed by 5 years due to lack of info by an NRI. (2) Money was transferred from abroad to India. (3) the resident savings is continued using for transactions within India for all these years, Will there be a penalty ? There is no clear answer for these and many students are still continuing on without the knowledge. Please make a video on this.
Thank you, really useful video. Being a NRI, I always find difficulties to find videos in Tamil for many details. As a follower of your videos, requesting you to start making videos related to NRI investing as well. I would like to know more about below two topics, thanks in advance. 1. Deductible Health Insurance 2. ITR Filing must for NRI?? 3. FD in NRE vs FCNR? 4. NPS investment
You are doing a great job and creating financial literacy among Tamil people. Extremely important and fruitful content Boosan. Please create more content on this topic.
Anna❤, ajay here. First of all thanks for considering NRI's. I would b great if you explain about which account (either NRE or NRO) is for which investments (nifty index fund, individual stock, nasdaq 100) and its pros & cons. I addition to this, try to make a separate vedio about PIS and Non-PIS for not NRE and NRO. Thanks heeps.
Bro, this video is really helpful for the students who went to study. We want to invest but we’re not sure what all the things we have to do before opening a demat account. You gave super detailed information. Please create a playlist for the people who live outside india and want to invest. Start a series ❤
Please create a playlist for NRI finances anna. It's very useful, but limited. Playlist could be like -- NRI banking; Investments; insurances ; FEMA Act; IT Act etc etc.
Most NRIs don't know how to invest in the Indiaan stock market. So I am sure there will be lots of interest. I have been based in the US, living here for the last 35 years.
NRIs can trade in the F&O segment through an NRO account. A Custodial Participant (CP) code is required to trade in the F&O. Zerodha has tied up with Orbis to help NRI clients receive a CP code. But once CP is created, cannot do any other stocks buy / sell, cannot invest mutual funds in NRO.
Thank you very much Mr.Boosan for your very insightful and informative video.! Really helps to understand the banking concepts for NRIs.! Really appreciate your efforts.! More power to you.! god bless..! ✨👏🏻👏🏻
Hello Boosan brother, This is one of the best videos of yours. These topics are very clear but it would be great if you could cover each topic by detailed video.❤
Kindly provide more details on how a tax is detected from stock investment for an NRI. Please elaborate on Tds applied on stocks. If possible, give on example on how tax is applied, when I sell an stock and repatriate the money. Also do we need to go through any tax filing process as NRI annually for the NRI demat account.
Very nice and short info for NRIs. But, the crucial part missing is the brokerage fee, commission by broker houses for the NRI. Appreciate if you can clarify them.
NRE related Investments for Middleast people will be useful ....Opening demat accounts like IBKR so that we can invest in USA/UK / International shares /MF's.
Thank you for wonderful video. Please continue with NRI details. Considering you are a NRI, can you please advise if investing 100% in India or split investments between India and current country? One of major problems for NRI is INR depreciation. Example , if you have converted dollar to INR for long term investment in Indian mutual funds & say if you have had 15-18% returns. Repatriation of this amount will eat up your returns (from NRE or NRO account) , TDS during redemption and most importantly INR depreciation , we will end up with 8-10% returns or even less. So it would have been good to invest in NRIs local country which can provide anywhere between 10-12% returns.
