Delay solution, unboxing & brutal testing!
The Wltoys 144010 is a 4WD brushless RC buggy but it does have a serious delay. Fitting of the Dumbo radio solved this tough. It's a budget friendly, fast and durable little RC. Kev really enjoyed this little car, it was a lot of fun!

This is crazy. My modified 144001 breaks something if I even look at it funny. No way it could take that level of abuse. This has me rethinking buying the 144010...
Once the delay was sorted it was a tank! Obviously this wasn’t all the jumps either. Only so many times you can see one car do the same jump! Very very impressed!
same with mine. Even a slight bump on an otherwise perfectly flat road will cause me to break something. Its like it is made out of glass

Brilliant Review Claire! Have 3 of the 144001's. One has the same brushless system as the 144010 and it's a rocket for such a small car. It's a GoolRC ESC and motor. Program card works a treat too. Dumbo radios are a must have.. much more settings to play with.
Very tough little cars that take a solid beating. Might get this one to add to the fleet of cheapies!!

I have the EAT-14 which this is basically a clone of. Unfortunately it had serious cogging issues too but I solved those with the motor and pinion from this one. They are great cars and cheap to fix if they do break. Brilliant video Claire.

DEFFINATLEY gotta buy one lol..That little car is WLTough.
Go to cycling store, ask for punctured tube, put 2 layers onto the GPS module and never break one again.
Also use multi use zip tie, as the tube won't stick to many things.
Few variants of multi use zip ties, pic ones with large button for this purpose. 👍

im guessing with the car been lighter weight its more dual able hence why i bought one myself and replaced all the gears to metal gears and upgrade motor and esc to make it even more durable

The 144010 is just too small for any real offroad action. It sure does well at the skate park. Nice job Claire. Very entertaining.
I have the 14something and 19 🙄😂 W L toys , almost same car , chassis etc. great fun for sure especially for the price of em.

Kev proof... Nice! Real shame that you also have to buy a replacement transmitter combo to go with it to make it driveable. Seems to be a known issue from other reviews!

Yo I got two of these cars...love it fun and cheep. However tho I've noticed you go though the tires fast and I found it difficult to find replacements seems like everything ships from China ....
Are these not standard 1:10 tires with six cone wheel drivers?
But the car looks fun i think i will get one to race at the field it should be good enough.

This one doesn't cog because it has a different pinion gear. New ones have 22? teeth instead of 47, IIRC, on the other brushless wltoys buggies that cog.

I've got a 124019 buggie that I brushless swapped and it doesn't cog except for every so often. And it's only the slightest when it does do it. That's with the older 47t pinion gear.
Edit: that should say "stock 44t/27t gearset"

@@J.C... well it comes with a 27t pinion the same as the 124017 version 1 ( as they basically the same )
The version 2 comes with 19t pinion ,it doesn't come with a 47 t pinion
@@davidmellish3295 sorry. You're right. I was thinking of the 44T spur gear. Sorry! So, to correct myself I still use the stock 44t/27t combo with a 3650 brushless motor 4300kv and 4s capable esc. It cogs on 2s but not 3s except for every once in a while. Maybe once/week or something.
I also noticed that it stopped clogging after I adjust the backlash between the spur & pinion gear. A better fit and less slop equaled no more cogging.

@@ClairesRCs I honestly can’t say that with this one & be 100% honest. It looks like quality has improved. Unless they’re starting to give out higher quality products to UA-camrs 😂. Wouldn’t surprise me if they did do that but I don’t think they did 😂. Hope not anyway. They are proper sketchy though 😂. I seen at least 5 bad landings in this video that should have bent & broke stuff.
How much more £ is it compared to the last version With the dumbo RC transmitter & receiver ?

Turn on the 144010 remote while pushing reverse just a bit and it changes neutral position when it binds. Delay GONE !!
