The Headphones in the demo I think were a hint to listen carefully. The whole thing at the end of the demo where you had to listen for those laughs when you go to various places through the house to get the secret ending, I think that's what it might've been implying.
I'm really interested to see how exactly this ties in with the previous RE games. I think it's fairly obvious that the area surrounding the Baker estate is a testing ground for some Umbrella virus, but if that's all there is, it feels like that's a little low-key for a main, numbered title. So there's gotta be a bigger picture, I just have no idea what it could be.
Well, if you listen when Mia's talking in the background after she *spoilers* chainsaws your fucking hand off, she says "It's my job. Must. Contain. Came back to watch this series since I've watched all the SGS videos on the RE3 remake. The UFO Commander outro really caught me off guard because I'm so used to the new one, but it's nostalgic and I realize I kinda missed it.
Wow, what a wild ride of an opening! Holy crap! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm really looking forward to more of this. Story-wise, it seems that this new virus is almost perfect--the zombies aren't mindless or hive-mind. These zombies could actually blend into the populace if perfected (and the infected might not even know, seeing as how Mia was acting when you first met her). Anyhow, super interested!

I’ve watched your stream of it countless times to cure my fear and now have finally bought a PS4 and can play it for myself. 9:20 Hooooold up. So as far as we know, the protagonist (Ethan? I forget already) is a normalish human being, married, but his wife went missing a few years ago. It's portrayed from a first-person perspective, so you are expected to fully put yourself in his shoes. You've just got word from someone saying that they're your wife, that she's alive, and then you should go get her, with *zero* further information or confirmation *whatsoever*. First off, the fact that you didn't call the cops *immediately* is already dumb as shit, but it's sort of accepted for horror film/game characters not to be sensible so I'll allow it. Then, you go there, it's a fuckin' creepy ass mansion in the middle of fuck-knows-where, you find a magazine that says "join us" in what looks like blood, a sign on a rusty old fence that says "accept her gift," written also in a blood-like substance (could be red ink but this is the middle of bum-fuck nowhere so you can't really know what to expect). You traipse through the swamp for a short moment and then run into that. How is what's-his-face not immediately convinced this is some sort of really, *really* fucked up joke and turns around to walk away (preferably to go back to the nearest police station and get them to investigate because fuck getting involved yourself)? Because I can suspend my disbelief quite far, but you're asking me to stretch it across the Pacific Ocean there. 0/10 immersion = ruined.
Have you ever been married? Because if you were and it was someone you really loved, you'd do anything for them. You wouldn't turn away from something because it looked like a joke, especially not when you have no reason to believe there's anything supernatural going on. After all you're a normal everyday person. The very idea of calling the cops is fucking ridiculous. What are you going to say? I received an email from my three years dead wife telling me to come and get her? Yea because any self-respecting cop would waste time out of their day to investigate that. At best, they do nothing. At worst, they assume you're making a prank call. The consequences of a prank call to 911 differ from state to state, but it's not gonna go in your favor. Even if by some slim chance they did believe you, they'd still do fuck all because it would get caught up in MONTHS if not YEARS of red tape.
When someone is missing for three years, people in society try to help find that person, you at least would have someone go with you to help see if it was bullshit or not, and you would inform the society who helped you look for a long time that you got a message that she's in this place etc. I don't know maybe this is just a British thing but you wouldn't go somewhere secluded by yourself, see creepy shit and carry on, love is one thing but stupidity is why this does fit under the category of typical horror/slasher scenario. If your telling me you'll go into someone's backhouse uninvited, in a creepy house, then boy your gonna need a HAND :P

I thought Cry and Cox playing resident evil together was a whole thing they were doing. This makes me kind of sad.
RE5 and RE6 were cheesy action games, though. :) RE7 is more oriented towards actual horror, so it seems more fitting for the SGS to play it.

The Headphones in the demo I think were a hint to listen carefully. The whole thing at the end of the demo where you had to listen for those laughs when you go to various places through the house to get the secret ending, I think that's what it might've been implying.

I'm really interested to see how exactly this ties in with the previous RE games.
I think it's fairly obvious that the area surrounding the Baker estate is a testing ground for some Umbrella virus, but if that's all there is, it feels like that's a little low-key for a main, numbered title. So there's gotta be a bigger picture, I just have no idea what it could be.
The_Echo Umbrella is canonically destroyed. Happened in RE5 and anyone trying to bring it back died in RE6.
But in Beginning Hour, there's that helicopter with the Umbrella logo.
Well, if you listen when Mia's talking in the background after she *spoilers* chainsaws your fucking hand off, she says "It's my job. Must. Contain. Outbreak. ~I can't understand this part~ Burn it all down!" so there's definitely Virus related fuckery, but I don't know how Mia and Daddy relate to each other, or that virus.
I think she said "Gotta quit, i promise" after outbreak.

Came back to watch this series since I've watched all the SGS videos on the RE3 remake. The UFO Commander outro really caught me off guard because I'm so used to the new one, but it's nostalgic and I realize I kinda missed it.
They're uploading RE 8 so slowly i just went to RE7 so that I can binge.

Wow, what a wild ride of an opening! Holy crap! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm really looking forward to more of this. Story-wise, it seems that this new virus is almost perfect--the zombies aren't mindless or hive-mind. These zombies could actually blend into the populace if perfected (and the infected might not even know, seeing as how Mia was acting when you first met her).

So just want to say to you guys. I played this game on VR when it first came out & had nightmares about Jack Backer & have never been more scared in my life. I’ve watched your stream of it countless times to cure my fear and now have finally bought a PS4 and can play it for myself. I usually watch horror movies to put me to sleep but this game (including Mia & her small chin) haunt my dreams. Wish an Aussie friend some luck!!

The problem with these videos is that I'm just as much of a wimp as they are, which means I have to wait to watch it until the middle of the day.
9:20 Hooooold up. So as far as we know, the protagonist (Ethan? I forget already) is a normalish human being, married, but his wife went missing a few years ago. It's portrayed from a first-person perspective, so you are expected to fully put yourself in his shoes. You've just got word from someone saying that they're your wife, that she's alive, and then you should go get her, with *zero* further information or confirmation *whatsoever*.
First off, the fact that you didn't call the cops *immediately* is already dumb as shit, but it's sort of accepted for horror film/game characters not to be sensible so I'll allow it. Then, you go there, it's a fuckin' creepy ass mansion in the middle of fuck-knows-where, you find a magazine that says "join us" in what looks like blood, a sign on a rusty old fence that says "accept her gift," written also in a blood-like substance (could be red ink but this is the middle of bum-fuck nowhere so you can't really know what to expect). You traipse through the swamp for a short moment and then run into that.
How is what's-his-face not immediately convinced this is some sort of really, *really* fucked up joke and turns around to walk away (preferably to go back to the nearest police station and get them to investigate because fuck getting involved yourself)? Because I can suspend my disbelief quite far, but you're asking me to stretch it across the Pacific Ocean there.
0/10 immersion = ruined.
But if he turned around the guy would just be there with his magical teleporting powers welcoming him to the family, son.

Have you ever been married? Because if you were and it was someone you really loved, you'd do anything for them. You wouldn't turn away from something because it looked like a joke, especially not when you have no reason to believe there's anything supernatural going on. After all you're a normal everyday person.
The very idea of calling the cops is fucking ridiculous. What are you going to say? I received an email from my three years dead wife telling me to come and get her? Yea because any self-respecting cop would waste time out of their day to investigate that. At best, they do nothing. At worst, they assume you're making a prank call. The consequences of a prank call to 911 differ from state to state, but it's not gonna go in your favor. Even if by some slim chance they did believe you, they'd still do fuck all because it would get caught up in MONTHS if not YEARS of red tape.
When someone is missing for three years, people in society try to help find that person, you at least would have someone go with you to help see if it was bullshit or not, and you would inform the society who helped you look for a long time that you got a message that she's in this place etc. I don't know maybe this is just a British thing but you wouldn't go somewhere secluded by yourself, see creepy shit and carry on, love is one thing but stupidity is why this does fit under the category of typical horror/slasher scenario. If your telling me you'll go into someone's backhouse uninvited, in a creepy house, then boy your gonna need a HAND :P
