I had the MSI and then went with the Gigabyte. Since I use HDR all the time, I recommend the Gigabyte because of the Game HDR. That mode (while not accurate) doesn't make me switch from high to low APL settings like the MSI did.
it’s a choice between Asus and Gigabyte since both are equally priced. MSI price to performance is on a level that any of the current gen 32 inch 4K 240hz OLED cannot compete. MSI is still the easy winner.
The PG32UCDM can switch between the sRGB gamma and 2.2 gamma while allowing a boost to brightness in SDR when uniform brightness is off and 2.2 gamma is in use.
Sadly there’s no perfect OLED out yet. LG 32 is matte and lacking QD colors. While the QD Oleds have the raised black levels in a lit room. 42” C4 is what I’m working right now, but it’s still larger and with a slower refresh rate.
If someone is trying to find the perfect solution and money isn't as big of a deal, they could always try to pick up both the C4 (or C5 when that comes out here soon) and the MSI 322URX that just came out with DP 2.1 for 4k @ 240hz. Pros of the C4: Quite a bit brighter (330nits SDR versus 260nits or so SDR), little larger so more enjoyable for watching media, better for flight simulator and occasionally other games. Pros of the MSI: Better color volume, higher refresh rate, FPS games are a little easier, productivity is a little more enjoyable on a 32". What I try to think about is a balance of what is most enjoyable in general, and I personally love large bright beautiful displays and 144hz is still a fast enough refresh rate on the C4 to play FPS games.. It's not terrible. If you purchased both and had the cables ready on your desk for both displays, you could hot swap them depending on your use case, or have the C4 to the left of your MSI. Just my thoughts anyways. I don't have experience with either of these displays, I've just been doing research as I wanted to buy a good monitor for gaming with. As great as the C4 is, I might go with the MSI for now and then when the C5 comes out I can pick that up as a second display. I feel like it might be easier to play games like Hell Let Loose, Squad, etc on the MSI, and doing productivity work (coding and etc) might be more enjoyable on the MSI as well. There is no confirmation of the specs yet for the C5 as it was just unveiled, but LG has stated that the C5 will be brighter than the C4.

Unless you are super paranoid and/or have the mafia after you. then you can see anyone reflections when they are trying to sneak up on you lol. You will want the matte. I have both the Samsung G80SD and the MSI, and I’ve been testing them both out side by side these couple of days. And I can honestly say, the Samsung image quality is lacking compared to the MSI 🤷♂️
ASUS 90watt PD will reduce monitor performance, so pretty much it’s a useless feature on their monitor (dead on arrival) unlike MSI, the 90 watts PD can be used without any repercussion. With Asus, it’s only 65w PD to be realistic vs MSI’s 90w unrestricted PD. You also need to mention that Asus uses a power brick while MSI does not. The Asus power connector connects on the right side, you have all sorts of cables going that way, while the MSI power cable directly plugs into the monitor without the use of a power brick and it is connected on the left side, away from the other PC cables. MSI however uses USB 2.0 vs ASUS USB 3.2 (why not go all out with USB 4?).
with these monitors are you experiencing 4k at 240 hz and have you tested 8k at 60 hz.and for this purpose, did you use HDMI cables or ports or display port. i mean did you use HDMI or display port cables with these monitors?
Alienware is 1000,Asus and MSI are 1200 but you can sometimes get MSI for 1000.the problem with Alienware is that it's curved and many don't want 32" curved regardless of price.
BFI is a useless feature for PC gamers using Gsync or Freesync due to a lot of tradeoffs for using it, like the PD charging of Asus. Asus has a lot of features but with penalties for using them, unlike MSI that lets you use all its features without any compromise. I think with the price comparison of $1299 vs $949 without tax, it’s not a hard decision to make if everything is available. I think for the MSI USB you can connect the keyboard and mouse since it’s a slow port, not desirable for data transfer. I don’t like having to look for a spot to place the power brick that has short cords. It’s like having the DP 2.1 80 cable length on the brick. 😂
I think neither of these two monitor cut it. They both lack Display Port 2.1, when you are looking at monitors of this caliber the incoming data should match what the monitor can produce with a RAW signal and not compression over HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4. 2025 you will find all Video Card manufactures adopting the DP 2.1. Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P 32" supports 2x DP2.1 inputs and the HP Omen which will be coming out soon will also support DP 2.1. Why put your money into a monitor where the manufacturer's know that they have produced a data bottleneck and will get you buying another monitor sooner than you need to. If it does not have DP2.1, I'm not going to even look at it.
I prefer Asus look. The msi looks no different to a 300 bucks office monitor front. The thick bar at the bottom sucks and the stand is maybe more practically but ugly. I wish at least Samsung would stay on there Apple look alike stands. Lg went this way and I love these kind of stands but I don’t like there finish
Yeah thats why tons of games still don't support it and has black bars, and serious gamers stays with 16:9 for a reason too. 21:9 is more for casual gamers. If you want a wide monitor, why don't you just buy 32:9 then. 99% of PC gamers use 16:9 and this won't change anytime soon. 100% of console games are made for 16:9 as well, and since most games are developed for consoles and then ported to PC, you will never get proper 21:9 focus from devs in all games.
@@Dr.WhetFarts 21:9 outside of cutscenes and menus works on pretty every game made in the last 10 years....get a clue and stop making shit up. Sorry you wanna play games in 16:9 like its 2004 still.
I love 21:9 (AW34DW) but I'm looking at these 4k 16:9 monitors because support on fighting games and newer comp shooters are SHIT for 21:9. I DO NOT want to play with black bars + that kills the lifespan of OLED more than anything. So yeah. We're going back because devs suck.
I tried a C2 42 for a while but it's not bright enough and the pixel arrangement is bad for text clarity. I use it for gaming though and it's great for that.

The Alienware one is on sale for $999 so that’s an easy choice
@@khlaps The new one is curved.
If you prefer a 32 inch curved monitor sure, but if you want a flat monitor at a lower price point ($949), MSI still beats it.
@@ceuser3555for the $50 extra bucks it’s worth getting the much better brand
Yes,but many don't want a curved screen specially at 32".othet than that,it's great.
Black Friday Deals Asus is at $999 as of today and MSI is at $899 today
Good call was thinking the same.
I really hate the stupid 4ss chin on the asus
Lol same
If alienware is better than msi why didn't you review alienware vs asus
Asus nowhere to be found here. Also 300 euro more expensive then the MSI.
Some people do kiss their monitors.
The MSI is such a basic entry level design, doesn't look like a flagship at all.
It does the job for the price. You can see the review of monitors unboxed.
Asus is 1700€ in Germany
The Asus chin looks irritating in my eyes
The MSI logo and the gray bottom bezel look irritating to my eyes
@ I appreciate your correction
LMAO @ asus clown shoes
So, We're not kissing monitors now?
It’s the same monitor lmao with different branding wym
The fact 16:9 monitors still exist is beyond me. 21:9 is far superior
@@nadeemkhatak Support for 21:9 is fine on all modern fighting games and fps games...so you're lying
i‘m following you for 4 weeks and already seen this monitor 3 times on your channel. time to unfollow again i guess
Damn dude..
Good luck in your life, looks like you are going to seriously need it. LMAO
Unsubbed, you lied, my grandma knows nothing about oled technology.
oled..as a monitor? no thank you...
Nope lg is better, the asus stand looks ugly asf
i Purchased 1440p G6 oled today for only 950 dollars.
At this price, buy an OLED TV.
Too large for a desk
If it was just a bit smaller I would get C3 in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately, it’s huge for my desk
@@TheQuebecerInFrance don't use a desk.
I tried a C2 42 for a while but it's not bright enough and the pixel arrangement is bad for text clarity. I use it for gaming though and it's great for that.
with 240hz ok
first
The msi variant is 1595 usd here 🥲
