What you want to do is beat the Pandles first always, while doing so give your Shmoopie soultimates to Tanbo, yes there is a risk of getting the pandles but thats just something you gotta face, i got Tanbo in my 4th try
Tanbo was actually pretty difficult for me. I spent more than 3600 on him. Either because I beat him too much(idk why but I can't seem to capture older Yokai) or because I'm very unlucky. I was honestly desperate to get a Special Coin,which you can get if you collect a certain amount of Yokai(I believe 125). Sadly,I got a Venoct,which I already have :/

I got Goldenyan when i beat phantasamurai and it counts as my hundredth yo-kai. Bosses count. You don't get Robonyan until you get to the Sakura/Excellent Tower stage.
Abdallah when befriending Yo-Kai and you are saving the Yo-Kai for last if you hear CLEAR, RIGHT after you defeat the Yo-Kai it will always be a blue spirit but if the clear delays, you will either get an item or befriend the Yo-Kai! sorry for too much info but I wanna relate this to Yo-Kai watch on the 3ds. :)

I think I know why you have bad luck in the crank-a-kai it's because since you downloaded the game first before anyone else level 5 (or the people who made this game)said you are going to have bad luck until they want to change it to good luck 😕
