I.G.I. 2 was very ahead of it's time. It mainly focused on stealth. The enemies react to any unusual sounds and go on full alert once they find anything suspicious. They are also a lot smarter than the enemies in the first game, they take cover during fire fights and try to flank the player instead of just standing and shooting. The Chinese soldiers are specially dangerous compared to the Libyans and the Russian Mafia, they can shoot at you accurately from very long distances once they spot you implying that they are a well-trained military.
IGI 2 was not a regular type mission completion game in which you could go bonkers on enemies and then pass mission. Game's concept was way ahead especially in First person shooter game.
@@AryanSMH Yes. There were always consequences if you decided to go bonkers and alert the entire place. But I had a little trick to deal with that - just hide in a corner and kill everyone who comes at you until the base is empty.
IGI 2 was a masterpiece at the time it was launched, the game was designed by consulting real life ex SAS operatives, they explained developers how missions occur in real life. Stealth element was present in igi 1 as well but not as much as igi 2, in igi 1 there were 2 silenced weapons mp5sd and Dragunov, these weapons could be fired closer to enemies without alerting them, mp5sd is present in most missions and those missions can be done using stealth and without killing everyone. But in missions where there is no silenced weapon like mission 5 radar base, there it's simply not possible to complete it using stealth, all enemies will come to your position to kill you. IGI, Commandos Behind enemy lines, Original delta force, these were the games designed with extreme hardwork, I will rather play these stealth based games and similar games which will be launched in future rather than playing chaotic games like pubg with no backstory and players running and jumping like monkeys to avoid getting hit, thats not how it works in real life
Two things you missed out... Jones hair regrew, especially near his forehead... And in IGI 1, the map computer allows us to scroll infinitely among the terrain without any limit... contrast to IGI 2...
