I liked IGI 2 more than the first game. They focused extra on the stealth aspect in the game despite it being such an old game. In Project IGI, you can kill a random guy and the guy next to him doesn't even care. In IGI 2, the entire base goes berserk the moment a shot is fired unless it was from a silenced weapon. They also start searching for you once they discover a body. The number of enemies is also limited unlike in Project IGI where they keep popping out of nowhere. The bodies also don't disappear in IGI 2. It's one of the best games for its time in my opinion.
In my case, I liked IGI 2 More Than IGI 1 ...stealth + assault style is more fun...if you skip Briefing ofcourse you won't understand the story..so never skip

Actually frontal assault is not an option when a soldier is alone in enemy territory. He has to rely on stealth and use frontal assault as a last resort.
IGI 2 ke soundtracks aapko exactly early 2000s ke atmosphere mein le jaane ka kaam karti hain. Exact Chill/Lounge wale vibes ho ya uss zamane ka TECHNO sound ho, ya Libyan Rendezvous se inspired koi Middle Eastern ya Arabi music hi kyun na ho, in sab ka mixture tha IGI2 mein.

I remember playing igi 1 in my computer during 2011 ..whenever i used to come home from school…the first thing i would do is hop on my pc and play this game..this game truly was one of the most mesmerising and fun to play game..the graphics and story line and the courageous soldier jones and his assistant anya..this game was way ahead of its time..also whenever i see this game or notice someone talking about this game..i often feel a sense of nostalgia from 2011 …those were the moments…i would never forget in my life
What kills me till this day is we are also the reason why this game lost its future because at that time we all cracked this game so the company faced bankruptcy and even anti matter's head company left this game saying it's a risky project 😢😢

YOU forgot the most important reason why the game was hated i.e pissing off the most populous nation at the time by showing one of their generals as the final villlain using their rockets . this is the reason the game was widely hated across China and remember that they were the primary buyers of the games since most chinese had enough money at the time to buy the original copy of the game . Since the americans were busy playing COD and MEDAL OF HONOR they outright ignored the game and then the only market left was China which actually banned the game for the above reasons . And as you know most people in The Indian Subcontinent weren't that rich to buy the originals they went for the pirated copies as is the same thing right now too . Most people are either hoping to get the game for free or to borrow it from friends . it's also the major reason why people of this region are not that much into battlefield or cod franchises but desperately hoping to get IGI Next part .

In my opinion The only reason igi 2 didn’t pick up as the first one on subcontinent was simply because the low end pc’s were not able to run the game as smooth as it was intended and majority of the consumers had access to basic pc at their home which would run igi 1 just fine but had problem running the more demanding igi2.
For me The best childhood game award goes to, Commandos Men of Courage. I challenge everyone to name one game which has better characters and music than this game on it's era.

IGI 1 is legendary❤ where else could you get your tactical fix while praying for a save button? IGI 2 tried, but let’s be real, it never hit the same. And IGI Origins? Yeah, at this rate, it’s becoming the video game equivalent of Bigfoot-heard of, never seen.😂😂
Both games were legend but IGI 2 is more realistic and is also created with extreme dedication by developers. If you were all alone in enemy territory, you will try your best to avoid detection and try to complete your objectives killing as much less enemy guards as possible, in real life using loud weapons and sounding alarm will cause all enemy personal to rush to your position and investigate rather then being sitting ducks waiting to be killed. You are all alone and you will be outgunned very easily if stealth is broken. Also you cannot carry 9-10 guns with you and go running around. Not only in game, special forces around the world use stealth tactics to accomplish their mission because they know human life is expensive and by using stealth you not only favour yourself but to enemy as well. The game was designed by consulting ex-SAS special forces personal, the fighting style you see in this game is how things happen in real life. Its less about going full on guns blazing but more of carwling, hiding, waiting, having patience and striking at right moment, stealth needs extreme patience, most people feel bored as they don't have patience to complete mission using stealth
One more reason can be the fact that you can pick all the weapons in IGI and have a big loadout consisting of different kinda weapons, whereas in IGI 2 you can carry only a primary and a secondary weapon. Sad ☹️
I wish they had kept the appealing and attractive missions in the beginning to better hook up the gamers and develop their interest and long stealthy missions later, in this way the developers could counter the players count. IGI 2 was way ahead from it's era cause of it's gameplay, storyline, graphics and characters and yahi baatien iss project ko special banati h, but if we look closely the biggest reason of shutdown of Innerloop was the pirates jinhone itni legendary game ko pirate karke itne ache studio ko band karwa diya and in India most of the people like only free stuff or you can say pirated stuff. Now if we talk about IGI (3) Origins so this project is cancelled and it's officially confirmed by the studios cause lack of funding and woh studio kisi aur ne aquire kar liya and we all hope that IGI (3) Origins par dubara se kaam kiya jaaye...💔✨
Brother, you've clarified for me why I also felt that IGI-2 wasn't as good as the original Project IGI. No doubt IGI-2 is very good, but I always felt that it didn't capture the same essence as IGI-1. I could never explain to anyone why I thought it was inferior to IGI-1. But now I've realized that the lack of music in the cracked copy, as well as the strange movements and dialogues of the characters, made IGI-1 feel better in comparison.

Bro keep up making this content. It's something unique, I liked the way you compared both games.
Both games were legend but IGI 2 is more realistic and is also created with extreme dedication by developers. If you were all alone in enemy territory, you will try your best to avoid detection and try to complete your objectives killing as much less enemy guards as possible, in real life using loud weapons and sounding alarm will cause all enemy personal to rush to your position and investigate rather then being sitting ducks waiting to be killed. You are all alone and you will be outgunned very easily if stealth is broken. Also you cannot carry 9-10 guns with you and go running around. Not only in game, special forces around the world use stealth tactics to accomplish their mission because they know human life is expensive and by using stealth you not only favour yourself but to enemy as well. The game was designed by consulting ex-SAS special forces personal, the fighting style you see in this game is how things happen in real life. Its less about going full on guns blazing but more of carwling, hiding, waiting, having patience and striking at right moment, stealth needs extreme patience, most people feel bored as they don't have patience to complete mission using stealth

One more reason can be the fact that you can pick all the weapons in IGI and have a big loadout consisting of different kinda weapons, whereas in IGI 2 you can carry only a primary and a secondary weapon. Sad ☹️

IGI 2 was way ahead from it's era cause of it's gameplay, storyline, graphics and characters and yahi baatien iss project ko special banati h, but if we look closely the biggest reason of shutdown of Innerloop was the pirates jinhone itni legendary game ko pirate karke itne ache studio ko band karwa diya and in India most of the people like only free stuff or you can say pirated stuff. Now if we talk about IGI (3) Origins so this project is cancelled and it's officially confirmed by the studios cause lack of funding and woh studio kisi aur ne aquire kar liya and we all hope that IGI (3) Origins par dubara se kaam kiya jaaye...💔✨

Brother, you've clarified for me why I also felt that IGI-2 wasn't as good as the original Project IGI. No doubt IGI-2 is very good, but I always felt that it didn't capture the same essence as IGI-1. I could never explain to anyone why I thought it was inferior to IGI-1. But now I've realized that the lack of music in the cracked copy, as well as the strange movements and dialogues of the characters, made IGI-1 feel better in comparison.
