I was just mesmerised by this whole presentation for 1 hour. Will review it many times in the coming months to understand the nuances but thanks a million for this. Just had a small query. I have access to a Tomey OA 2000 only in my clinic for my cataracts. Now that machine luckily shows a bit of fourier analysis of the cornea. And gives out info in fourier index at 3mm and 5.5mm. It gives fourier_index values for sperical, regular astigmatism, axis, asymetry, axis and higher order in diopters. Could you pls explain how to use this info. Even the tomey people here dont know the details. Thanks once again.
This was very informative. I'm not an optician or a doctor but I am a programmer and I have recently become interested in trying to simulate human vision after I got diagnosed with Myopia. I have been reading some textbooks online to understand this stuff but there are a few details I still don't understand, primarily with the units of measurement used. Would you mind if I ask you some of the questions I have? At this point I can calculate the Wavefront Error of my eye and convert it into a Point Spread Function, but unfortunately it's not to scale. Once I understand the units of measurement involved I should be able to convolve the PSF with images to see how my sight changes at different distances and with my pupil dilated to different sizes.
Thanks for this highly informative presentation
A very clear and precise explanation!!!

Thank you very much
I am learning more and more to discuss with my surgeon. I hope I can cure this HOAs related to pupil size, they are making me insane.
you are probably one patient we like to refuse
Very good and practical
