Hi Alex, I really like this pattern. The black contact paper was a great idea. Using the marker to cover the edge was also very effective. Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, thanks, this contact paper could be any color and texture. I saw expensive special pencils for wood which cover the edges and damages of wood and I decided to try simple pencil - it was not very good, then I tried marker - the result was perfect, but need to pick correct colour.

@@AlexFoxScrollsaw Thanks. I am going to try both tips. I found the contact paper on Amazon. I'll see if I can find some matching markers. The contact paper looks much better than painting the backer board. It has a nice gloss and the grain shows up better. Great idea.
