    I loved this episode! Bill is so relaxed and doesn’t get defensive when he disagrees with the guest. And Whitney was really interested in Bill’s opinions and asked him lots of questions instead of ranting on about trauma.

      You think he's going to be on her podcast? That's an interesting assumption unless he claimed he would somewhere here and I missed it.
      He did go on Bill Burr's podcast, though he took some minor offense at Burr when he did. That's the only comedy podcast I'm aware of that he's been on.

      I mean Bill doesn't need to put himself through doing ads on a podcast. Seems kind of selfish in a way. Many boomers just can't turn off their magnetic attraction to making money after they've worked their whole lives & are already rich (or even well-off). I wonder if Bill even thought to ask his "podcast guy" if he could do a show without ads or even for free. If you don't want to do it without being paid then why not just not do it? This is Whitney's best podcast appearance ever. And yes, she was crazy (more than kind of), until about 5 minutes ago. Motherhood and some other things have really straightened her out.

    • @TheMeditorEditor
      @TheMeditorEditor 8 місяців тому +2

      I don't know. Whitney is an interesting specimen in that she appears very differently depending on the medium she's in. Between her stand up, acting roles, writing, and long form podcasts, she's like 4 different people. With podcasting specifically, she's consistently very mellow (in articulation and reasoning, not in volume), level headed, and all around the very opposite of her stand up persona. Her stand up sounds like any other female comedian SJW performance, and yet in podcasts she speaks like, to put it in political terms, a centrist or sometimes center-right. And it can't necessarily be an act if she keeps doing it repeatedly for hours on end. Very fascinating woman.

    • @Fantasyremix
      @Fantasyremix 8 місяців тому

      @@TheMeditorEditor she also varies from podcast to podcast. She was particularly crazy during the pandemic in general, but she is also more mellow and focused with males she respects or is attracted to, whereas she’s off-the-wall and interrupts nonstop with women and men who don’t command her respect as much.

    • @TheMeditorEditor
      @TheMeditorEditor 8 місяців тому

      @@Fantasyremix Another comment mentioned how emotionally intelligent she is. I never really understood that concept until watching her on all these places. I think you're correct -- she seems to either match the other's energy and demeanor, or mold herself - consciously or otherwise - to be the person that can best interact with the person she's speaking with. With Bill, it's clear he enjoys when people agree with him or think he's right, or when they speak in a non-combative manor or non-evasive manner (i.e. don't speak in political talk). Whitney was very inquisitive but also gave insight that lead to topics about the past, specifically Bill's time, or current events in society which is where he, as an observational / political comic, thrives. I think, despite all her faults, might be a genuine empath.

      It was in the spirit of the times. He is a politician at heart. He's from Hollywood, the region on Earth that produces the most hypocritical left-wing propaganda. And he is a man who speaks his mind. A lot of people thought like him at the time. It's obvious that it's difficult to forget, but I'm not so sure that we need to remind him of this 24 hours a day, for every subject. Maybe just when it counts. For a very precise situation when he can obviously lose credibility.

      @magicmike7198 I disagree. In the most dire of situations imaginable, he sold out the common man immediately. He should be reminded of it every day. Hate to use that tired analogy, but look who his father was. When the government overstepped their bounds, Arnold's father joined right in with the establishment. Apple doesn't fall too far after all. And then you would defend him? Nice of you because he certainly wouldn't defend you and he showed it
