This is the first Christmas where I am in a stable enough financial situation to afford getting my family big gifts (Only 21, so haven't had a lot of time to begin with). As someone who grew up very poor, I've genuinely have had no experience with big boxes like this, and this video helped a lot. Thank you.

24 years old and just got there, got a dream job working at a level 1 trauma center hospital here in Phoenix. So now as an adult I have to learn how to gift wrap large stuff. We all get here at our own pace, no shame. Apart from making others happy and the weather,December sucks.

a small tip .. before closing the ends, cut out a square paper the size of each end and tape it on (doesn't have to be exactly that size, then close the ends over it and you don't have to cover the beautiful ends :D

Use gift bag tissue
For a really large gift (our son-in-law wanted a leafblower!), try using a paper or plastic tablecloth!!
A word of caution, some might be see-through, so try to get the darkest or most opaque one you can find.

I tried to do this but I ended up not needing the extra papers for the sides.. I guess by box wasn't that big.
Though this is a great video,don't get me wrong...But...it would be good to see someone do this on thier OWN,rather than with TWO people!

Typically what you can do is lay out two separate layers overlapping. If you are really type-A, do this step with the patterns facing you and your can do a really good job lining up and matching the patterns. Tape them together and proceed to wrap your gift. You can then wrap ribbon and/or tule right over the seam and no one will know. HTH.

Doesn't help if your package is bigger than the roll of paper. Lol I'm just gonna have to wing it like I do every year for this one large package that I have. But this is excellent advice for sized gifts.
