One year later coming back to say me… Now who watches these videos every year but decides this process is too long and just accepts that relatives will be getting big crumpled messes again this year..?
I'm just about 70 yrs old and believe it or not I've never been able to wrap a gift! I've watched a number of videos but yours was perfect and my gift was perfectly wrapped, tonight...for the first time, lol!!
It worked like a dream! I have always been notorious for abysmally wrapping my presents and this is the first year I’m proud of the wrapping. Thank you so very much.
Just tried this out and Man this is legit! Easily the best gift qeapping guide ive found and used! Gonna be following this everytime the occasion arises
Thank you for this simple yet elegant tutorial video Claudia! It was useful to me in the previous Christmas! :) I just wanted to say: 1) Thanks. 2) I'm really used to crafting videos like this having some basic background music, so the silent part at 1:13 - 1:24 felt a bit ominous.
At 55 years of age, I'm still watching videos on how to wrap presents, as I've always been the laughing stock, and I will try your method today. I did, however, come across some Japanese gift wrapping videos, and I have to say they make us look like complete amateurs. I mention this due to your sustainability interest, as some of their wrapping doesn't use tape, which allows a cleaner opening of a present, and the ability to repurpose the paper. For now, however I need to be able to do ours first, as that's a big enough task for me already.
I can relate to you being the laughingstock when it comes to gift wrapping. Once it's Christmas time or birthday time, people know which gifts are from me simply by looking at the way it's wrapped. No need for the name tag! Really embarrassing lol
first time proper wrapped my gifts, from the top search on youtube skipping through this one was the simplest to follow for me, results were perfect :D ty
Thank you for this video! I always do gift bags to avoid wrapping paper. I have shaky hands too which doesn't help lol. Just wrapped my mom's birthday presents and your video was perfect!
My mom had me do this even before I started being more environmentally conscious: We’d buy a big roll of IKEA coloring paper & she’d have me go at it with crayons, haha. Was received really well, especially on birthdays.
Saved me years of embarrassment. I was planning to wrap my father's presents and I unfortunately don't know how to wrap a gift. So, thank you so much for making this. I feel so much relief. 🎀💙
All the tutorials I've watched use paper with gridlines but in my job our paper has no gridlines. Would love some tips on how to measure the other side, thank you!
You can just use a ruler to measure, or what I do: turn the paper over and cut with the printed side up. Look for something in the pattern that repeats along the line that you want to cut. It could be the tip of a snowflake, Santa's nose, etc. Then imagine a line that connects the repeated points in the pattern. Run your scissors along that line. There's a tool I use that makes paper cutting easier, called a WrapMaster - for giftwrap, not the product for food wrap with the same name. I don't work for them 😄, just love their product.
A sustainability suggestion: if you need to put your item in a box and pack it with paper, re-use packing paper or boxes you get when you have things delivered.
I did exactly as shown and left 3/4 room on either side and it was too much so it would not fold into a trying when folding the last step in sealing the side. Bad instruction, it needs to be just over 1/2 apparently
Too bad you felt the need to start a with the sustainability caveat. It’s the world we live in I suppose where you have to preface everything with that etc.
@@HowDoYouDo_ Hi! It did and, btw, YOUR rubik's cube video was my favorite. I used a different approach for yellow cross but otherwise yours was the model I used,

Best how-to video for wrapping gifts on UA-cam!
The actual video starts at 00:50
She didn't provide a land acknowledgement before beginning and that is very troubling
❤❤❤❤❤
Don't be a baby. if 50 seconds is a deal breaker for you use a gift bag.
@@owlandbear1220 he's probably just trying to help

Thank you! Very simple. The best video for wrapping presents that I’ve seen so far!
Very helpful thanks!
Claudia, thank you so much. This was so simple to follow. It was the first time I wrapped a present where it actually looked decent.
At 44 years old, today I wrapped my ever first package. Thank you a million times!
Hands down, simplest tutorial put there!
I love it! I tried wrapping a present for the very first time and I was really happy with the results!! :D
Thank you, it’s my first Christmas as a dad trying to do my best
Thank you so much for saving me! My wife will be proud 😅

OMGGGG I can’t believe I finally wrapped a gift so perfect 🎁 this was really helpful, thank you ✨
Very simple and clear, thanks!
I remember the good old days when there were no grid marks. My gifts were never "cleanly" wrapped consequently. Thanks for your video.
My daughter never fails to make fun of my gift wrapping. But with my new found knowledge I will have the last laugh. Dad joke!
Found your video after a miserable wrapping attempt and was successful!

How come Walmart used to be THE SPOT to get Hallmark wrapping paper, aka the best gift wrap, and now this year I can barely find a roll?

Wow, but can you try wrapping a metal present that’s bigger than your head?
Thank you
I would love to know if you have any sustainable wrapping tips and if you'd like me to share them in a future video!
For anyone that still gets a newspaper, there's some 'sustainable' wrapping paper. I've seen that technique since the 80s.
I don't think I understood the assignment, my wife took the paper off my presents

Hope this is good because I watched it

Yes I agree I had the same issue I ended up with a sloppy gift but was too annoyed to try again
believe it or not, I always end up having too much excess of paper in the creases
