How do you take the straps off to wash them?

I'm super confused on the plastic tab under the red headrest adjuster.. Does it just sit in there? 😅 I don't see any slot

Our Grace Milestone car seat is only 1.5 years old, but it apparently doesn’t have all the features of this one. There are no elastic hoops near the armrests, nor are there buttons to snap the head cover and the middle cover together. You’d think they would mention the discrepancies in this video.
Also, it’s impossible to see what hoop they are attaching to what hook when the camera angle just shows the demonstrator’s hands blocking the whole view.

Y’all have me concerned. The headrest is not at all the same so I can’t put it on, I’m missing those snaps after putting in the head part, and there’s no elastic Bands on the bottom part where the buckle goes through. So um.. I am still lost
