This just makes you appreciate the Yankees more. A lot of people discredit the Yankees world series but watching this just proves they still had to win and play great competition for the time
I’ve been saying since the start of the 2024 season that if the dodgers and the Yankees match up in the World Series, it would be the most legendary thing in sports.

@@MrBiszkopty wel consider all of the international players on both teams. Shohei and Yamamoto have all of Japan behind them and there’s plenty of Dominicans and Venezuelans on the Yankees.

People all across the world wear Yankee and Dodger hats even if they don’t know much about either teams or baseball in general.
And even then, baseball was featured in so many Hollywood blockbuster over the decades that I guarantee you this World Series will be mentioned in sports media all across the world and not just America will be watching.

The fact that fans were running on the field during the older games is crazy.
This is big business. Baseball needed a star-studded World Series like this badly (you can tell how excited MLB is for it). It will easily move the most dollars in many years. Gonna be tough, but let's go Yankees!

Judge vs. Ohtani is only one reason but a very important one. Baseball NEEDS star power. If MLB were smart, they'd try to get these two facing each other as much as they can to build a rivalry. They are insane if they don't do yearly Yankees vs. Dodgers series in the regular season as long as those guys are around. At least one, preferably two (one in each team's home field).

I have sat and thought about it for a couple hours, and I have decided I can't pick who I'm pulling for. I gotta say, on Forward deployed in Sasebo Japan right now, for the US Navy, and when I tell it's incredible seeing Japanese people with Yankee hats and Otahni Jerseys. Born in NY, told to be a Mets fan, ended up a Yankee fan at the age of four, this is the series. For the first time in MLB history, this is the world series. The Dodgers still played in Brooklyn longer than they have played in Los Angeles.
Lets see, The Dodgers were founded in 1883 as the Brooklyn Atlantics, borrowing the name of a defunct team that had played in Brooklyn before them. The team joined the American Association (or predecessor to the American League) in 1884 and won the AA championship in 1889 before joining the National League in 1890. They promptly won the NL Championship their first year in the League. The team was known alternatively as the Bridegrooms, Grooms, Superbas, Robins and Trolley Dodgers, before officially becoming the Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1930s.
Yup, they were in Brooklyn for 73 seasons, and been in L.A. since '57, or for 67 seasons. 👍
