- Hello peanut gallery! I had quite a time with this week's upcycled fashion! But woohoo! I got finally got it done and I love the way it turned out... the second time around. lol This was actually two transformations in one. A miserable fail at first but then a second transformation made it totally fab!! And I got mega lucky that the tie dye diamonds were centered in the front. That was not planned! Oh Darlene, you have the best tutorials. I want to see the honest struggle because it makes me feel like I am normal when I struggle too. I made two tiered skirts after learning from you in another video. I swore and threw things through the whole thing but I love them. The struggle is worth it! Love your skirt too.

Love the way that it turned out. You had me in stitches. The potty mouth was funny too. I have had that happen to me also. Just did not like the way it was turning out and had to change it totally. I have lots of colored thread. I usually buy thread to match the fabric when I buy it. So, I have lots of thread in the house.My last tip to Walmart, had to buy two more spools. Ran out of a dark red that I was using.

LOL hilarious video...loved watching. I kept yelling (Darlene....I always fill a zillion bobbins because I also go berserk when I run out of bobbin thread in the middle of projects) Great job. You are definitely a 'designer at heart'.

This made me so tickled because every time I try to sew stuff happens, ridiculous stuff, and I start talking to myself, moaning and frustrated. Bobbins running out really annoy me! It is terribly tiring to have to do the seam ripping too. I felt your pain. 🤣
I was thinking that maybe the leftover scarf material could be a scarf worn around the neck or hair when wearing the skirt.

I had lots of ideas for the leftover scarf piece but I was MENTALLY EXHAUSTED and knew I had to stop. lol Those upcycled fashions wear me out! I have no clue why I want to continue with that series. LOL

Do you really think I know the answer to that? lol I have no clue what size needle it was. Use whatever you have. It will work out just fine!
