Thank you for including John Carpenter's win. Even though it was the US version, you just can't leave out one of the most badass moments in the history of television. Plus he was the first contestant on any version of the show to win the top prize.
Indeed. John Carpenter was my favorite. Who would of thought of doing that. Here is the thing. Most people (I suppose) didn't even any "life line" left at the final question. He had one to use.
It sounds ridiculous when you say that 25 years it’s just insane and I’m proud that the show has gone super far. I hope that they will be more series of millionaire, and hopefully more million pound winners along the road!
An amazing Gameshow - Nothing quite like WWTBAM The sets are just incredible. Wish they would bring back the bright moving large spotlights from the top one big wins!
Can't believe that it's already been 25 years since that show completely changed TV quiz shows and world television itself (not even speaking about top-prize winners, whose right answers changed their lives). Thank you to everybody involved in this show! Happy birthday and long live, my all-time favorite "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?"!
Hooray for Millionaire from Italy, holding the Guiness World Record for the most episodes of the game presented by a single host in a nation who aires it: Gerry Scotti, hosting all 1706 episodes from May 22, 2000 to November 5, 2020 in 2 different eras: 2000 to 2011 non stop and 2018 to 2020 with 3 additional prime time seasons. Bravo Gerry, bravo to all hosts!
Happy 25th anniversary to the best and most successful television quiz show ever. I still recall very well when Tantowi Yahya hosted our version here in Indonesia back in the 2000s.
I wish you all the very best, mates. By last 5 years you making one of the best shows in the world. Jeremy, Stellify, Sony and ITV1 are professionals - how show looks now is just amazing! But i think it's time for make some new twists for it's 25th Anniversary - refresh set, replace some lifelines once for a while. But by all this, Millionaire is a best quiz in the whole world. Thank you very much.
Happy 25th to not only the greatest game show franchise in the world, but also the greatest *television* franchise in the world! Here's to 25 more years of final answers!
The first time I saw any version of this show was when Regis Philbin still hosted it in New York. I think it was on this version that the first person ever won the top prize. In this case, taxman John Carpenter used his phone-a-friend just to let his father know he was going to win the million dollars.
Wish you a very happy twenty-fifth birthday ! This game is such a legend, thank you for these incredible emotions you gave us !!! I think to my sweetest which with I played in July with a very delighted pleasure ❤❤❤ Ty
While I live in Canada, I saw mainly the US version of this show with Regis Philbin when I first watched it. Canada did produce two episodes for CTV, but they were taped on the New York set. The host for it was journalist Pamela Wallin. I think the furthest anyone got from those was $64,000. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I heard that there were plans to construct a set in Toronto for more Canadian episodes, but to the drop in popularity in the US and the overexposure of it by ABC on their schedule, those plans were scrapped.
25 YEARS! A whole quarter of a century! Yet for many countries around the world, the show is still running strong! Congrats to Millionaire, hope to see the gameshow develop even further!
remember this so well it was the day before 9-11 attacks . But i knew he was cheating he was ruling out the correct answer then going bk to it but at the time i never heard the coughs, but he kept ruling out the correct answer i knew there was something not right
Top stuff. Gosh that Charles Ingram got a bunch of coughs to seal his fate for good and for worse. I wonder if he could have sneaked away with the 500k?
congratulations from poland. 4th september 1998. "who wants to be a millionaire" premiere. next day. "cilla's the moment of the truth" premiere. first moment. the very first fastest finger first question. and finally. very first contestant. graham elwell from london. finally. he's walking away with £64.000. and he's not used "ask the audience". another moment of this compilation. is famous donald fear from telford. he not used three lifelines (two phones a friends and ask the host). he used only 50:50 in £32.000 question. i remember two previously contestants. who used only one lifeline in the game and contestants stays millionaire. john carpenter (USA) and sidi ahmed weld ali (arabian). third is dramaticly moment in david edwards million pound question. only one time before pattern "MILLIONAIRE". chris tarrant not says "you just won. one million pounds !!!". another moment is legendary judith keppel from london. the very first british contestant who breaking the bank. 30 days before episode with first million pound winner. władysław kostrzewski. is first polish contestant. who played the million zloty question. finally. he walking away. and won 500.000 zł. another moment of this compilation is cheater of "who wants to be a millionaire" history. charles ingram from wiltshire. few years ago. polish podcast channel "kryminatorium". uploaded episode of this situation. i got all british editions "who wants to be a millionaire" on playsttation 1. i got DVD game "who wants to be a millionaire 4th edition". i got "who wants to be a millionaire party edition" on playstation 2. i got 6 editions table games polish version on this game show. and two books "i played in who wants to be a millionaire" (this book wroted by anna pęska-formela) & "who wants to be a millionaire" (this book premiered after one of first episodes 2nd season).

28:22 Of course they included this. Makes you want to cough, doesn't it?😁
And such an easy question. The company ‘Google’ was named after it. Also nano is tiny. Mega is big But that that big. Sames for giga. I mean cmon 😂😂
Because after he won £1,000,000 he has to give back the check, and pay a fine of £115,000 but he denied the cheating.
Final cough answer?😂
An amazing Gameshow - Nothing quite like WWTBAM

The way the audience go wild when Judith wins was absolutely brilliant, so musch respect for this woman.
I wish she would have gotten the confetti

Have always loved this show but JC adds something extra to it.
@MSdisabLADit's pretty easy to explain cause you're ride a Prius.
Agreed. I haven't watched the British version, but from the clips I've seen on UA-cam I really like him. Good vibes.
@MSdisabLAD Why would you want a version that skips the best parts?
@@NoriMori1992 he is a very funny charismatic man.
Yes he is the reason i started watching millionaire again!

Harry Redknap didn't know who played Rambo lol.
the worst part about Charles is.... he got the EASIEST million pound question..... I knew it before they all came up.
I can’t believe Jeremy got the Concorde question wrong.
There no the before Concord EVER!
Weird question. While FFF is going on the hot seat is missing. Does it come up from the floor, or do they pause the program and rush it out there??

Cough 28:27. Did he really cheat?
Yes.
@@retchedOkay just asking
@@AlexMaxwell2000 There was a big investigation on it which proved he cheated. ITV also did a drama mini-series about the scandal.

Hope they renew this for another year because i'm going to enter and win 250k 🤝🏻
I have a tokans 'who wants to be a millionaire 'Please someone tell me what to do.
They have emphasised the coughs on that last clip, I do think he cheated, but it wasn’t that obvious.
They did that for the jury during their trial
Plus your spelling of LOSES at 16:27…😮😮😮

Tarrant was the WORST quiz show presenter ever. Thank goodness Jeremy took over. Eventually
You twit you must have been watching the old reruns
in what way the worst?
Hated Tarrent. Not only smug but that intake of breath thing that he always did. Needed a slap
