The abbey church is over a 1000 years old, built soon after the Norman invasion. Probably on an earlier smaller chapel dedicated to Alban . It's a lovely building and I notice something different everytime I walk around inside and out. Why would anyone give this a thumbs down ???? People around the world get to see wonderful places like this who would otherwise never see them if not for people like this sharing their adventures. I live here I think it's great people around the world can see part of my city , I live opposite the abbey church, I appreciate people who share their videos.
The Cathedral contains bricks from Roman Verulamium, in that Park he showed. St Alban, Britain's first Christian martyr, is thought to have been a Roman soldier, and possibly lived in that city. So we have possible bricks from St Alban's house, in St Albans Cathedral! How neat is that!
I used to live in St Albans way back in the 1960s residing at 319 Hatfield Road and attending Beaumont Secondary School... A beautiful town which holds many fond memories for me...
Greetings Goodcchappy, I’m a foreigner getting a job offer here in St. Albans and I’m so worried on migrating down, due to the high cost of living I see all over the internet when I research about this place. Any advice?

Thanks a lot. I enjoy your meditative voice. By the way, I've started using your videos for teaching my students as you are quite understandable even for beginners.👍 💕
Many thanks, Paul, for your thoughtful and meditative visions on beautiful places. Your calm narrative is unique and very engaging. Looking forward to more great travelogues in 2018. I particulary enjoyed your videos from India, purely because it happens to be my favourite destination.
Simply brilliant. Great camera work and you have a very calm, peaceful way of narrating. St Albans is one of my favourite places. There's just something about it!
I know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!

Can someone tell me the beautiful music playing on this
Keith Denny Thanks Denny, the music is special music for video, it sounds like an upbeat Gregorian chant. It’s not available commercially. Paul
@@prsw100 oh right thanks that's a shame it's really soothing

oa Nice British accent .
Jeeez it's not 'SENT Albans' it's 'SAINT Albans' !!!!!
T.M.I unless you are a local then it’s snorbans 😜
Lovely video.. scary voice...
Fantastic video, but the music should be changed. It has a negative tone to it.
A Gregorian chant style piece. Perfectly suited to the abbey. It is in a minor key.
