Great report Dan. I flew this Fusion the day after you did the interview and it was probably the best flight of my life. I owned a Grumman AG-5B for 5 years, have flown tons of Light Sport models, several at Mt.Vernon airshows over past few years (Savanah, Super Petrel, and at least 4 others - awesome show and absolutely wonderful for getting to fly and compare lots of different models), but have to say that the Fusion is exceptional. Smooth, crisp handling, amazing aerobatics, really top notch workmanship and attention to detail. The price was very fair and, all in all, a superb value.

It reminds me of a mixture of a Cyris and a P51 Mustang put together. Flies real good!

Fusion 212 is limited to a maximum 60 degrees of bank and 30 degrees of pitch in the united states according to what I'm reading maybe old information. I can't find any specs, or information for the US market. They would have to remove that from the POH if they have then might be the only one in the US market looked at the Vans RV12 SLSA POH all aerobatics, and spins are prohibited. Would have been nice to know the price with the UL power I'm guessing it won't be 139k probably upward to $200k well see.

Totally confused about the Rotax comments. Will the 912is quit if doing aerobatics? Does Rotax just not advise it? The video showed a 912is in it. Does that mean that specific plane can’t do aerobatics?
Aside from the Rotax confusion, can a light sport pilot legally do aerobatics in this? With a passenger? Would they both have to wear parachutes or does the airframe parachute satisfy? Cool plane. Due to the construction materials and engine options I’m guessing $160 - $200K.

Light sport can't do aerobatics legally in U.S. rotax engines can not do any negative g manuvers.
