Don’t fret. When I bought my rhipsalis, it was fall. It went dormant over the winter and I took it personally lol. As soon as the days started getting longer in the spring and I put it in a slightly brighter spot, it started growing and hasn’t stopped. 😊

Jungle cacti roots need to breathe. Coco coir baskets are what I grow mine in and they do well. Soft or dappled light. They burn in high sunlight. Let dry out and then water well. Repeat the process when dried out. They thrive when hung in trees in the spring and summer. That’s when you will see quite a lot of growth. I bring mine in when temp drop into the 50’s at night. I hope this helps a little. Paradoxa is very slow growing until they establish a good root base. They all like to be a little root bound otherwise they are prone to root rot.

Hi Natalie 💫 So happy to see your Rhipsalis Collection. Now you have given me 10 more I must get lol. I currently have some cuttings of Rhipsalis Paradoxa (they are taking forever to do anything) and a Rhipsalis Baccifera which is so happy and growing outside. It’s amazing that it doubled in size for only being outside a little over 2 months and it did not grow inside so it’s a finicky one for me too. I love all of yours and will be searching for them. And you are so right, I’m a Hoya person but Rhipsalis are much cheaper and are quickly becoming a new favorite for me. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🙏🏻💫
