As I understand it you can (and should) definitely combine room correction with a master tuning. Two different things: The RC takes place in the Platinum Hub whereas the master tuning resides in the speaker itself. Of course you want to choose your master tuning first, then do the room correction flailing about.
Hey Z, from a guy that makes the purifi drivers, i will tell you that when you say around 29:45 that you are pushing the drivers :) you are not :) you would flip out seeing how much they can actually move, and still without audible distortion. also note that the drivers have a X-Lin +/- 9,8mm and a mechanical X-max of +/- 14,5mm with a linear SD / SD neutral @ZReviews
I read from a reviewer that these aren’t as good as what you could do with separate components at this price but with an orchard audio 2k. 2k for towers it may or may not from what this engineering could be
YESSSS, I am thinking the exact same as well. I could actually get the Rialtos for 1k cheaper right now, so it might be a no brainer to get those... But im not sure.
@@Daytwoo Yes of course you could make an amazing setup with this money with separate equipment but the point is to have a simple "all in one" setup with great sound and features. Also one big thing is that there is no speaker/amp matching which can be tough sometimes.

speakers are designed to be listened to in rooms with reflections that sum up the experience. without a closed space thats representative of most people's usecase the judgement only says about the direct on axis sound. I hope this makes sense to the viewers of this channel. That being said buchardt provides its measurements on their website and they usually have pretty good preference scores on spinorama.
@@LordOishi Indirect sound that you hear from the speakers that is the sum of reflections. Also outside of this there are other effects specific to rooms that need to be corrected to make it more neutral. go to the link in the video description and expand on room correction for those specific corrections. If you take RB42 and place them in different rooms you will hear very bright treble and mid bass boosted and this can't be corrected because they have poor mismatching indirect sound i.e poor DI.
Powered speakers are usually at the lower end of cost to full active speakers. Buchardt sells direct so you gain 30% over a dealer price. Compare to speakers costing 4200 GBR. @@geraldmcmullon2465 However, Klipsch has higher volume, so they will be able to get a much better price on the components and the manufacturing. Both speakers seem to have the same kind of compromises. (Compression of bass output at the highest output levels.)
There is zero necessity for a center channel speaker to be horizontal. It is 100% better actually if all 3 front speakers are the exact same model that the left & right speaker are. It doesn't matter if they are towers or bookshelf speakers. You will get a far more accurate & balanced response if their placement is symmetrical, with the left & right being equal distance to the center. All 3 speakers should be on the same plain & same level & with no toe in of the left & right speakers really required. The exceptions will come from the requirements of the room, if it's not symmetrical.
But this is only possible in dedicated theater room behind a akustic transparent screen. A vertical bookshelf looks horrible in 99% of living room environments.
@jdx4174 I don't think so. I see no reason to hide beautiful speakers behind a screen. All I have done in the past is elevate my TV on a wall mount to be above the top of the speakers enough that they can't impede the screen any. Plus with the LCR speakers out from the wall, everything just sounds better. My current set up is just 2.1 however & I'm not hearing any need for a central channel at all, even sitting directly in front of the left or right speaker, which is where my 2 chairs are placed, the center image sounds like it's come right out of the center of my TV screen. It's amazing really.
Can you review the Edifier s2000mkiii!?!? I hear they sound better than the Edifier s3000pro, people that have owned both say the clarity is noticeable 🤯

Heard the S400 and it was not bad, but no wood. These however seem to be in a completely different league. Thx for your rants 😅
