  • Hmmm, not what I thought I had ordered, but here we are! Amazon says it's the hardest of the three in the listing, so it was obviously meant to be. lol At least I didn't fail at a kids craft! lololol
Anyway, I actually really liked it. It was simple, yet not braindead, and it kept me busy for a while. The entirety of my footage was 1.5 hours, that includes trying to get the biggest bumble bee out of my room I'd ever seen. lol But still, good kit. It really had everything you needed. Except a pair of scissors and maybe something to thread the needles more easily. But that's it. 😊

Adorable, I love it! Since you asked, I thought the edit was great and satisfying...just like watching the highlights of a sports game is better than watching a time-lapse, kinda thing (if that makes sense)...I did find the music distracting but that's probs just me 😅

Loved the bee cameo! Any updates on the job? :) Also, I do want your opinion, should i start making my own watercolours? It's not expensive to get into especially if I start with a limited range palette, I reckon under 200$ for everything I need including some starter pigments. And it seems so fun and relaxing.

On the job front, it's going well. I do have a job lined up but they are taking forever to get things rolling on their end. I guess they needed to make some big fixes because the woman I'm supposed to start working with wasn't actually doing anything for like 6 months. So, there's some big problems. lol Ah, nepotism! She has the job only because her father is one of their clients. I would think that's a conflict of interest, but who am I to say! lol They can take as much time as they want to, though, we aren't in a hurry yet. lol
I think you should definitely make your own watercolors! And I would love to use them if your willing to sell them to me! I always wanted to make my own paints, but just never got around to doing it! I really want to though. Maybe I'll do a video on it, give me an excuse to get the supplies! lololol Start with primary colors, a brown, white, and black, and I think you'll have a good selection to start. Do lots of research! You gotta find the perfect additive that will make them last and not crack, I hear people add honey. So many store bought tubes crack when you put them in pans, it's so disappointing! lol
Good luck! Keep me posted, eh? 🥰

@@DiscoKittie Hey. Already ordered all the tools, gum arabic to make my own binder as well as some pre-made binder to have something to compare too. I do plan on adding honey, glycerine and a dash of clove oil to make them smooth, re-wettable and last long. Bought a bunch of pigments, including some more expensive egyptian blue and cadmium red, as well as some earthy colors, a cheaper yellow and some bone black. The only thing i need is a pane of glass, which i will replace with a 60 cm square glass cutting board since it's tempered and reinforced.
It will take a while for everything to arrive, and I will most certainly keep you updated. As for buying, I'll have to see how well they turn out, but no real plans. If I am happy with them, and shipping isn't too much from Romania to the US, I could send you a set of half pans to test.
Keep up the good work with the videos! I like them very much and find them inspiring.
