These are some of your best videos. I went to Hampi in 2018 and it brings back so much nostalgia watching these vlogs. I will return next year inshallah. Thank you very much.
Jason and Gabriel great to see you together 😃 discover such a special place like Hampi with those huge stones holed near the waterfall and amazing sunset 🌝
6:15 you are asking about the pillar. IT is called Dhwaja Sthambha. That literally means Flag post. Every temple should have one. During the annual festival of the temple, they will hoist a holy falg which is not a simple cloth flag but a little more involved complex structure of photos, small idols and frames that carry those idols and other related items. If a temple does not have a flag post, during the annual festival, they build s temporary one.
What an amazing country! Your videos just get better and better. Honest, relaxed and a delight to watch you on your adventures. Upping your Thumbnail skills too I see. Like it. 👍
I live about 150kms away from hampi and even I had never heard of the Durga/Ganesha temple and the waterfall. Will definitely check it out on my next visit. Thanks for introducing me to them.
Jason, such a delightful video. One of your best. There is a peaceful joy on your face. It is clear how much you love India. Hampi is a truly unique place! I have never heard of many of the places in your recent videos in India. Truly enlightening, inspiring, and entertaining. And all because of YOU. Thank you!
Vijaya Nagara Empire (with capital as Hampi) has been compared to Roman Empire historically. The first person to say this was Mr. Domingo Paes. He was a Portuguese traveller. Domingo had visited the Vijayanagara Empire around 1520 during the rule of King Krishna Deva Raya. Domingo Paes compared medieval Vijayanagara with Rome. Vijayanagara Empire had trade relations with China, Arabia, Portugal, etc
Hey Jason! That's an amazing video.. Also, I don't think that people will understand "Dhanyawaad" there as it is a hindi word, which is mostly spoken in Northern parts of India.. I don't know what is said in the local language.. but I believe "thankyou" would be good enough... Much love❤
This unique boulder landscape of Hampi takes its root in Ramayan… the warring factions of 2 brothers Sugreeva and Vaali contributed to these heaps of boulders, which was used as ammunition to throw at each other 😊
Please visit Kailasa Temple in maharashtra India and ancient megalithic structure an ancient wonder Temple curved out of mountain by vertical excavation the only of its kind in the world must visit this more then 1000 yrs old monument
FYI: Do you guys know that villages and most towns don’t have any sewage treatment plants in India…. Untreated sewage is directly dumped in the closest river or creek . Unlike locals , westerners have not developed the resistance against the coliform bacterias
There's a reason for that. There's always a connection between temples and the spiritual beliefs... So, although your videos are interesting, I understand that you don't have the knowledge to connect the temple, architecture, carvings with the spiritual knowledge of the Hindu religion. So many people, the Indians come on a spiritual pilgrimage to these temples. There is a deep connection between Hampi and the Ramayana..
Sorry about the theft of your sandals, Gabriel. Hampi's my favorite place in India also. Great to see you guys on the other side of the river (the best part of Hampi.) I'll add, in honor of your sandals, the fact that you have to take your shoes off at an outdoor temple is obnoxious as hell! I did it also there and my feet were quite upset. Thankfully my shoes were not stolen. Thanks Jason for another great piece.
Super old content. Gabriel has been to several continents, many countries and countless cities since this India trip. Nothing worse than watching outdated and old content.
Gabriel was in India before coming to Australia 2.5 weeks ago. It’s probably only 1 month ago that this was filmed. For one, Jason’s editing involves much more work than Gabriel’s and, two, you never know what Jason might’ve had to deal with since the filming of the video that caused this delay. Maybe he was sick or hurt. And even if nothing happened not sure why this is such a big issue?! Jason produces quality work and unless people are keeping up to date with both of them nobody would even know how “old” this is. I’m not bothered by this at all so there are certainly plenty of things worse than this in my probably unwanted opinion 😊
"world traveler" GT doesn't know that you put your shoes in a plastic bag and always take them in your knapsack so they don't get stolen..because he doesn't understand what type of country he's in. but he's OK with his shoes getting stolen..because whoever took them will get "bad karma"....which means an invisible magic spirit will get even with them. LOLZ. ....these are supposed to be educated adults......right??
