I agree with most of the review except for the zoom part, it's not just for the moon, I live in an area where lots of birds species live, this a situation where you'd die to have a good zoom camera, I also visited Africa last year and I was so desperate to take good pictures of wild animals without jeopardizing my life, so zoom camera isn't just for moon pictures, some people may find it useful, I agree not all people, but for those who need this feature I'm ready to give up on the better processing of the S10 in favor of the great zoom and low light capabilities. Thanks for this review. Everone focuses on the "Plus" models, and I really wanted this comparison. The only criticism I have is for the background having diferent colors. The grey on one side and white on the other doesn't help comparing small diferences.
My main consideration was the price point. At retail your looking at a price diff or more than 5k and if you were able to pre-order the p30 you get a free 13k watch which you could opt to sell as well. So there would be a price diff of around 15k or more
What about audio quality in video recordings? I found S10 takes 256kbps, but no info nowhere about P30. I often take shots in concerts and it's a common drag the reviews never talk about audio
I own both phones and so I have used both a lot in my opinion the galaxy s10 is the winner the oneUI is so smooth the camera is amazing and the screen is just in a different league to the p30

S10 is way much better in terms of screen n camera. But HUAWEI is better in battery life and system speed. Price wise, HUAWEI is more cost effective. The reason why I don't want switch from S8 to p30 is becos I really like samsung's high definition screen.
True, but in terms of photos, i do think Huawei has a slight advantage due to their dedicated night mode but if we're talking about video recording then it's Samsung hands down. Huawei can't record 4k at 60fps and recording at night is a blurry mess. But the downside of Samsung is, it shipped out most of it's phone with Exynos 9820 which on paper look better than Kirin 980 but in reality an utter disappointment. CPU throttling, drains battery fast and not optimized for many games like PUBG and Ark Survival
i ordered the p30 with free huawei watch gt. dont want to spend lot of money on gadgets, we all know that after a year, the price will decrease in value.
Having tried both, I sticked to my S10. P30 wins in overall camera performance though. I'm not wholly into camera so I chose the S10. It depends really on your preference. If you prioritize ingress protection (IP), micro sd expandable storage, and awesome display, as well as more useful features, go for the S10.
If only the p30 shared the same camera sensors with the p30 pro...such a stupid move from Huawei. A 750 euros phone is far from cheap. At least keep the same 40mp high quality sensor on the main camera. Cheap on the wide and telephoto if nessesary. The s10e costs less than the p30 and shares the same camera sensors with the s10 and s10 pro. It just comes with 2 instead of 3. Who gives a fuck about the 2x optical telephoto anyways? 2x digital is fine.
S10 for me too. A 6s exposure isn't something you'll want to use frequently. Need a tripod or mount for that sort of thing. Same applies to the zoom. It's a nice feature but also not something most would use frequently. You'll get more from the better dynamic range of the s10 in day to day use. Many in the tech world have just gone overboard with these sorts of niche features
The nightmode and zoom doesnt require a tripod and is hand friendly... Also even the regular automatic camera tends to have great night mode (compared to xs) i think the nightmode is only really used in little to no light situations since the automatic imo does great in night shots

@@ekryztof Both phones are great you will not regret if you choose either of the two. But for me I like the samsung galaxy s10 because of the one UI, stereo speaker and the dynamic amoled display. In terms of camera both are great , for low light and zoom capability I'll go for P30 but for selfie, video, video stabilization, daylight, ultrawide and dynamic range I'll go for s10. Choosing a phone is a personal preference so its up to you if what phone your going pick.
Across all photos, the S10 gives better contrast and colors while the P30 boosts details. Both are great shooters nonetheless 💗 (P30 night mode still blows my mind 😂)

S10 all the way, i dont think 10x and 50x zoom will be that very useful, p30 shoots great in low light but yet again you shouldnt be shooting photos in the dark anyway. Even pro photographers know that and will use a flash to light up their subjects. Wide angle, day time photo,selfies, and video goes to the s10, p30 isnt far behind though. Smartphone cameras today are pretty neck and neck. Awesome video!
More intense colour seems to be on S10 (sky is more blue, tree more green, etc,). I just wondering if in P30 settings is possible to adjust it. Someone did some experiments ?

The different background colour (the dark grey & white) made it harder to focus on the differences of the pictures.. it’s optic 101, light colour picture would look stand out fr the dark background & dark colour picture would look stand out with light background.

Samsung already had the most advanced technology now..and so as huawei.. The only difference is that huawei is too aggressive to win the market. So they released it early as possible. OTH, Samsung being no. 1 and confident, is doing it so easy, little by little and so more potential sales. I think Samsung is on panic right now. I guess, the S11 will be released sooner than expected. 100% sure with a better zooming capability.
