BEAUTIFUL 🌹 What relaxer do you use? And is it lye or no lye? Thank you

I use Mizani classic medium/normal and it does have sodium hydroxide (lye). They do have a no lye version and it's their Butter Blend version!

@@serenity5289 Thank You for info! Yes, I’ve used Mizan Butterblends (fine/colortreated) for over 10 years. I recently had my stylist to use Design Essentials normal strength. For some reason I feel the Mizani relaxer formula has changed and makes my scalp burn quick.

Relaxing strips the color dye out of my hair. I have to color two weeks after relaxing. Is there an order to keep this from happening. I would love not to spray on color during that two week wait.

The relaxer has to come before the color because it does lighten the hair and unfortunately you do have to wait the 2 weeks before permanently coloring the hair. A suggestion, instead of using a spray after your relaxer you can apply a demi permanent color w/5 volume(it deposits color only instead of lifting and depositing the color) to get you through your two weeks until you are ready to have it permanently treated. That can be done the same day as your relaxer! I hope that helps!
