@@TimnShelley not necessarily, the specialized enduro is 4 years old now and still top of of the line. An Ebike from 4 years ago is an ugly heavy tank. I’ll hold out another 2 years and get an ultra sleek lightweight ebike.
Some are, some aren't. My wife's sounds like that, mine is dead silent. For half that price you can get the +2 and with a few upgrades, it's a fantastic ride and a more down to earth price. Relatively.

Lovely bike, loads of tech but , I have a Giant ATX which is a low range 27.5 mountain bike, E hub drive converted and a smattering of decent components inc forks, ok it’s not going to do big drop-offs etc but real world how many ppl need that, it does 47mph (off road 😉) and is the most fun I’ve had on 2 wheels! £3k all in

Nice advert for Giant. My buddy has already gone through four, yes four, Trance E bikes. The motors and electricals are just junk. For $15K, just go and buy two Trek Rail 9.7 bikes, and still have money to spend.
Its becoming bit of a joke that a cycle costs the same as a premium brand motorcycle. No matter which way i look at it i cannot see how they can cost a much? Particularly as its from a huge company like Giant who are comparable to some of the big motorcycle companies.
I bought a 2015 Aprilia RSV4 APRC, full Akrapovic exhaust, race ECU, 10,000 km's on the clock in showroom condition a few years ago for $14,000.... last time I checked their was a whole lot more engineering, technology and materials involved than a treadley with an electric motor.... would love one to add to the collection... but way over priced. And on that note...here in Oz you can get a new Husky, KTM, Beta or Gas Gas enduro bike ( displacement up to you ) registered and ready to go for that kind of money.

All the comments on here complaining about the price... I can currently buy this exact bike locally for 18k but a specialized levo s-works is 26k with far lower specs and I hear crickets... funny how some brands are viewed differently from others.

This is a halo bike; meant for the 0.001% where 15K is just a soda can in terms of cost. The real takeaway is to go try out the new Trance/Reign bikes. You can have pretty much the same innards with the Trance Advance E+0 and E+1 which are 1/2 the price of this halo bike. I have one and it’s amazing value and performance. The Yamaha motor is not bad, a little whine but the grunt is there. I have managed to climb hills where I never thought I could. Downhill, the suspension is very plush with the live valve. The app continues to improve. Giant just added new features where you can now tweak the response of the motor from a dead stop plus tweaking of the 5 separate levels. Bikes at this price level are generally not meant for mass adoption. Too expensive, hence the limited run. Get a Trance Adv. E+0/1, slap on AXS and you’re golden.
Does it ride two, or three times better than a 7500, or 5000 bike? I don´t think so. So who is supposed to buy one? Sure there are a few rich morons who buy such things just to be sure they have the most expensive ones. But for someone who just wants to have and ride a capable emtb there is a lot out there for half the price. (wich is probably already overpriced as they are all made of mass produced components wich do not justify the every year rising prices)

No point in such bikes, specially called "limited idition". You won't store bikes like a rare car for years to go up in price. Such bikes only goes down in price, and goes dramatically.
Looks no different to my reign mx2! I bet it still has the same shit bearings that mine had! 6 months and headset bearings gone! Lack of grease from the factory!! 7 months front and rear wheel bearing shot! I'll never buy a Giant bike again!!

Just bought a Trance X E+2 for £4200 new. Same motor, controller, software and geometry. 90% of the riding experience for 33% of the cost!
