Yi Yi, Poor Things, and Dr. Strangelove are some of the best movies that I've seen recently, with Yi Yi being one of the very very best movies I have ever seen in general. Yi Yi is just magic fron start to finish. I fell in love with that family and the beauty of their struggles in the 3 hour runtime. The cinematography is like candy. You should do a review on Birdman, that too is one of the very best movies I've seen.
No idea why i was brought here - but thanks for the content. I have not seen many movies lately - wanting to try Dune 2 cause I liked 1 a lot. Interested in "zone of interest".
Hi I checked out your letterboxd profile and saw that you only have like 15 five star ratings; why so frugal with you five star rating? What makes something five stars, and why is it so rare for you to give a five star rating?
A lot of things go into how I rate movies, especially the ones I rate 5 stars. The few I do have rated that high are movies I consider to be absolutely perfect. Ones where I would change absolutely nothing. Things like how well the film was created and how it impacted me. I also tend to be a very very particular person in almost every aspect of my life, so movies can’t escape that. haha :)
