Excellent job!! Great form and good control of the dumbbells! To increase the difficulty try a 2/5 rep speed for 10 reps. 2 seconds for the concentric/positive and 5 seconds for the eccentric/negative. That will really give you a pump ⛽ Three sets 2-5 minute rest in-between sets💪🏿✌🏾
80lb dumbbells are so hard to find, so after a while I dropped the mic and decided to get the Olympic dumbbell handles. They work very well and are great for lifters of all ranks.
Just saw this. When something like this happens, you should do 2-3 seconds on the eccentric as this would probably move you down to ~12 reps, which is more appropriate. Another thing is shorten your rest time between sets. Whether at home or at the gym, going higher than 80 lbs with DBs is tough for most folks. After hitting 75 lbs, I moved on to barbells. For bench pressing, DBs can only take you so far.
good deal! nice controlled reps. Used to do 85x12 on the incline, but probably was moving faster than this. Did get up to 105x6 on the flat as well, but again, a LONG time ago!!
I wish I had a racks worth of solid dumbbells going up to like 120lb. ones. It gets annoying having to spin off collars and manually change out plates on my dumbbell handles everytime I do dumbbell work.
ok so i'm just gonna say 2 things. my record is just 12 reps with those i could barely manage to make the last one. and second, i love that tattoo on your left arm, the one of the one ring.
“I don’t have anything heavier.” Hey man, they sell heavier weights. Go get you some. Also learn how to sit down and get back up with dumbbells on your knees. Rock back on the bench and when you’re done, bend your knees up and rock forward. The momentum will make you stand up.
I stumbled upon this vudeo and cringed a little...it was a UA-cam recommendation. This is the kind of video that gets people hurt...t using too much weight... with no tips on proper form or safety. People get too caught up on how much weight they can do. It's great if you can but watch other vids on, loading, unloading, DB pathway, optimal hand position, etc. If this comment draws heat, tough....too bad. But, if I saved someone from a back, shoulder, or worse injury I'll take it. I've been lifting since 1972 and have made all the mistakes myself, too. Bad form when lifting can create acute, immediate injuries or chronic/ cumulative injuries over time that you'll feel the damage later in life... joints ect.
And here I felt proud of my 3 reps with the 80lb dumbbells lol great work brother!
Jc Rivera 😂 thanks man
Just going off this video alone I'd say you can probably handle 100s if not the 110s
You alive?

Nice work man!
Great set good work 💪🏼
Thanks!
I remember the days doing this with 90s. Now I struggle with 70s. Good job. U be there soon

Indeed they are!
That is one of the best sets with 80lbs i ever seen. Good job.
Yo thanks!
Very strong lift 12 x only full range amazing
Looks great bruv, though I usually have em a lil bit lower on my chest. Not talking about depth, but "height" wise.

good to see you pressing em like a man... none of that elbow in bullshit. good shit man

Yup, that's The Lord Of The Rings, tattoo. Most people have no idea what it is or where it's from, you must be a fellow hard core fan. Thanks bro.
@Alex Gemi Shut the fuck up.
Solid
i hit 7 reps with 80lb dumbbells yesterday at 149lbs bodyweight. i didn't think i'd even be able to get the weight up honestly.
Wow! That’s awesome!
you have all kindz of snap action going LOL
all kinds
Try doing that on a stability ball like I do!!
Just today I managed to get 12 reps with those but you got 20. wow
Thanks, keep putting in that work & you get 20 also in no time!
I thought I was something doing the 55s for 7 . Great job
Thanks, and just keep on grinding, someone somewhere is saying the same thing about you!
@@72bigglos thanks bro ,your my inspiration 💪
good job, tried 1 arm pushups?
Please use big leanth bench
I'm sure is not fake than other have a cover rubberized strong man💪💪💪!¡!!!
you look like you use a lot heavier dumbbells than that.
Any tips.... when I handle heavy dumbells what gets me is placing them on my legs before pressing them. Hurts!!!!
Yeah they do! Get yourself some power hooks then you won’t have that problem, but other than that, I don’t know
Good work like to see you do incline.
Thanks

impressive!!! 20 reps
Yo thanks!
@@72bigglos no problem man, that's quite beast!
Wow thats awesome nice job bro I’m pretty siked because I just hit a pair of 75s for 3 reps
Thanks & nice!
How much were you able to flat bench when you first did 80 pound dumbells?
I honestly can’t remember! Somewhere around 200lbs?
Snapcity
What was your one rep max at this time on barbell bench press?
I’m really not 2 sure but I would guess around 315lbs
ok so i'm just gonna say 2 things. my record is just 12 reps with those i could barely manage to make the last one. and second, i love that tattoo on your left arm, the one of the one ring.
Looks difficult, I can imagine you doing 120 with no problem but lesser reps.
Thanks man
Is it good I can do this weighing in at 139lbs, and a height of 5’7, (I’ve been lifting since I was 12) I usually do this to help increase the bench
M&N Distribution hell yeah that’s good! At only 139lbs!
72bigglos I only do about 4 reps at a time though
Can do 70 lb dumbbells for 25 without a spotter . I’ll have to see how many 80 lb reps I can do
25 is impressive for 70s
20 reps is not that bad for 80 lb dumbbells, especially that form was good yo. Form is key.
Thanks man
Nice.
Thank you
Great form. What could you do on the barbell for 20 reps? At the time, of course.
Back in the day, my best was 225lbs x 25 reps! Thanks man!
@@72bigglos Wow. When you were doing 80s for 20 something?
Tomorrow I try 15 rep 3set

Made it look easy. Could rep 95 even
Thanks
What’re you at now? Never seen a bench like the one you were lying on
This is the bench from my solo flex. But I just have it lying on the floor.
20x rep.wowww!¡!!
Thank you

😂 keep grinding! 👍🏾
@@72bigglos i have a long way to go im only 13
also i can bench 100 but when it comes to dumbbells i struggle to get it up to my leg so i have to go lower in weight
Only 13! That’s awesome! Before you know it you will be doing 100lb dumbbells!
@@72bigglos thats my goal by the end of the year
push!!!! lol
Currently doing 90 pounds for 10 reps. Been working out for 3 months, gonna be insane to see what I can do in 3 years
I am sure u do lol
What kind of bench is that?
Kenneth Gafford it’s just the bench from my solo flex laying directly on the floor, lol
Nice, I’m on 60 and I barely started half a month ago
80lbs?!?!?!? Jesus dude that’s nothing, I be hitting no less than 150-180lbs
Im 138lb girl and do 10 reps with 80 lb dumbells.
im 1lb helicopter and do 10000 rep with 80

I find that very hard to believe unless you are an elite level weightlifter.
Stfu woman, I believe you can handle 80lbs of plates. Washing them in the kitchen of course.
Faço 25 repetições com esse peso aí.
130 for 15 reps here on incline keep working brother
Geez that’s a ton!
Wow, you could probably do like 275-300 lbs on the regular bench, as a 1 rep max.
Dumbbells build more muscle though
Way more than 300. Got 315 and can probably do 100lb dumbells for 10
Wow......lol.
80 ? That's light weight I'm doing the 110's at the time
Nice
I bet he could hit a good 10 reps at least on 110s if he had them. I just got 75 for 3. It’s a work in progress.
This guy can go heavier 4sure
Thanks and you are right! But at this time all I had was 80lbers so going to failure was my best option!
You can do 150 so no problem
😂 thanks man
