As an independent content creator there is probably a cap on how big Alex can grow his brand but as a partner with a cable channel like The Food Network, the sky's the limit. However that comes with a lot of conditions. You are now an employee and no longer independent. I think it depends on what Alex is trying to achieve? It's like a music artist staying independent rather than working with a record company. The Food Network can open so many more doors but there is something to being independent and your own boss.
