Fishing is also my go to when feeling down as it's as much just getting out where fishing takes you as actually catching something. Hope the dog fs off soon, stay positive. If ever you find yourself not wanting to go because you are feeling shit, just get yourself out there as I found once you are out there it brings you some kind of relief as it is just you and nature
Don’t fish closed waters and don’t target is a pretty clear rule. Stick to doing the right thing and if a cod eats a bass lure then that’s how it goes, enjoy the moment and release the fish unharmed.
Location, size and if you’re trying to identify Murray cod have an underbite and Mary’s have an overbite mate. Difference length in fins and tail wrist but the jaw is easiest to look at.
Do you happen to remember the name/brand of this mouse lure? I have the same one with tbe mesh joint but im missing the tail and ive been looking for a new one for years now!
There ripper fish but if ya want the big stuff Gympie area starting point JODY BENSON BRIDGE. STATE FOREST HOLD REAL BIG FISH YEARS AGO AS KIDS FISHED THIS AREA. ENJOY.
@@LiamFitzpatrick yer big area in forest ya find creeks from there feed Mary River found big holes then 200m plus dry but the bigger holes can hold 30 plus cod some monster's smaller feeder creeks are forgotten about.

Yeah hopefully do a bit more this season without all the flooding going on.
@LiamFitzpatrick it was flooding last season here too , it pushed the bass up into some unusual spots .
I had a blast trying to find them .
Ours all stuck down at several weirs unfortunately mate.
