All the small things that take time you guys were knocking out of the park. I really like how you were able to make a lot of your own custom brackets and powder coat. Built... not bought 👌👌👌
And that way if they break I have no one to blame but myself 😅
Damm so close! Hella excited! And also a little jelly bro! The da9 has come a long way! Since those Wisconsin days! It's been a long evolution with this whip! Seems like ages ago, Congratulations Chris so stoked 4 you buddy!..this upload starting my morning off right!! That da gang, keeping them on the road!!!

Congratulations on the kswap!!! keep up the good work and videos!!
Stoked to see this bad boy run!
Man Chris, this makes me miss my 92 DA so much. I got it when I was 18 and it was my first true car love. It was BONE STOCK when I got it. The only mods I had was a cold air intake and a muffler (because I didnt know shit about cars when I was 18). I put a turbo that I bought seized from the junkyard from a Dodge Daytona that I soaked in a bucket of WD-40 overnight on the B18A1 at 134,000 miles and it made 257 whp on 10 psi with 390cc DSM injectors, a DSM side mounted intercooler, and a Zdyne Gold SECU. It was fast for an otherwise stock car. I would eat Mustangs with it. That was back in 2001 when FnF first came out and all of the imports were being modified. My DA was black with a tan leather interior and it was a beautiful car. I eventually took the turbo kit off, and then blew the transmission, stripped it, sold the engine on eBay for $600, and scrapped the shell. I kick myself in the ass for that every time I watch one of your videos. Now I have an EJ8 EX Civic coupe with a built LSVTEC with a 60-1 Turbonetics that made 508 whp.
That sounds so sick! I wish I was old enough to mess with cars back then. To see a DA or any car back then all new and still fresh
ChrisSadowski I can't wait to see the K swap first start brother. I know that feeling, you get all nervous to turn the key after all of that work. I have built many engines, but my recent build needed machine shop work because I went 81.5mm CP pistons and Eagle rods instead of stock bore and I also had them do a line hone for the crank to install my ARP main studs, so I had over $1200 JUST at the machine shop. That didnt include the $900 for the rods and pistons and the $650 that I spent for the JDM B18C Type-R head and the $450 Golden Eagle LSVTEC kit. So when I got it put all together and went to turn the key for the first time, I was nervous af sweating and shit. It fired right up and made no abnormal sounds and pulls so hard at 18 psi on the Turbonetics 60-1 Hifi. You should check me out on Facebook and I'll send you some pics.
Finally theirs a DA K20 swap in youtube Keep up the good work and your crew.
Congrats on your K Series swap on your DA! Gonna be Sick!
Oh snap!! Can't wait for your project to be done! This gonna be sick!!
Damn Brian Gillespie cameo!!! I hope your grateful to have such a knowledgeable Honda dude around
Damn Chris came a long way, great video I see you've. Been putting in work .. can't wait to see the next one
Its cool to see a kswap process on a DA; more minor details needed 👍👍
Looks like it was meant to be there the gold bay makes it stand out so much more 👌👍👍

Alright man coming together! Wanna see some of that spirited driving!!!
Everything looks good bro your gonna be stoked when its fimally running i know i was when i finished my kda
I know this is an old video but do you Remember what kind of tucked radiator you put in the DA?
Volkswagen rabbit
Crazy to think that when you moved from that other state Wisconsin or Minnesota that you would end up meeting, working for and befriending Brian from hasport. Pretty crazy how life can work. Just goes to show if you keep a car long enough you can and will do a lot to it and improve and modify as you desire. From ls to b20vtec to k20. Hope that your da9 is a forever car for you.
TurboB18C1DC2 it most definitely is. When I got it 3 years ago it was just a beat up car with lots of missing parts and an old beat up b20 non vtec motor with eBay coil sleeves on blown struts and half my paint was oxidized and flaky
just like everyone who work on cars at the house....they don't have a funnel. lol. glad to see it coming along.
We had two funnel but both were being used at the moment lol
oh, lol. i usually have to buy a new one every single time. lol. i still use the water bottle funnel from time to time. lol
Can't wait to see it start
You and me both!
I love the hasport guy (no homo tho) also love your Integra kanjo is life 👌
Damn was hoping to see it start keep it up !
Was I seeing things? Or was that dead beat garage? She's coming along nicely dude, can't wait to see her finished.
Yessir he was there hanging out with us for a bit.
Can you do a video talking about the cost of everything once the swap is done

Sorry for miss spells bro
Good shit booiiii!!!!! Loooks so damn great haha
The M (medium) sticker lmao
I'm planning on k swapping my 1990 da integra do you have any tips or suggestions on things i should do or things i might need to make this a easy project ? thanks in advance and keep up the good videos
There’s really not much I can say, it’s pretty straight forward and all bolts in, but I do recommend welding in the frame rail bracket as Hasport says. Only tricky part for me is wiring because I’m not good with it. Everything else bolts in good, the engine fits super easy
Dbg 7:00 i see yall thats wats up #hondastrong
I’m still waiting for the next video!
Chepe Soccer is life hopefully tomorrow! Had a lot of little kinks we’ve been having to work out
ChrisSadowski take your time Chris! It’s better to do everything right the first time.
I will caution you on using those compression fitting AN adapter on your fuel lines. Those things are sketchy af and it will eventually leak, and it will leak right on your exhaust and catch fire. It's ok for a temporary thing, but you really should run new continuous lines all the way to the sending unit when you can afford to. I love seeing K motors in old DA's!
It’s been almost 5 months, no leaks. I run these on my del sol daily driver as well with no issues.
I'm just cautioning you man. I build race cars for a living, and these things aren't allowed for good reason. Compression fittings on anything with high pressure are a big no no, and won't pass tech. I would hate to see you lose your car to something like that.
I’m not knocking you at all, believe me. I love your videos and I’ve watched most of them. I just want you to know about those things. The proper way to do it is to put a female 37 degree flare fitting over the line, then re-flare the line , and then screw a -8 37 degree male fitting into it. That’s a permanent and safe metal line to AN connection. It does however require a hydraulic flaring tool to accomplish this, and not many people own a $500 tool to do it, hence why these compression fitting adapters exist.
Ryaneg6freak Im surprised nobody has mentioned that before, I know quite a few people are running the same kit on their higher HP drag cars and as far as I know haven’t had issues. Maybe I’ll have to do some upgrading
I understand. There are varying different degrees of what's acceptable to some sanctioning bodies. When we built a Porsche 991 for a Hill Climb, the tech inspectors actually made us take our fittings apart to prove that the metal OE line was flared, and didn't have a compression fitting attachment. I thought it was nonsense, but they were right, and just 1 month later I saw someone's LS swapped Porsche 924 catch fire at High Plains Raceway because the compression fitting they used started leaking. The problem is that sometimes the metal line is perfectly round, and the little brass ferrule inside doesn't make a 100% seal. I suppose on a street car it probably won't ever be a problem though.
What shifter are you using and is the cable bracket something hasport sells?
I’m using a 90-93 accord shifter with a custom plate to mount it to the car. I believe it’s now available for $150 at Hasport
Badass!
great video what throttle cable did you use?
Ktuned throttle
Cable
I too have a Dr pepper addiction lol
Only soda I drink lol.
Did you have to do any welding for any of the engine brackets to make the engine fit ?
For the DA/EF/crx chassis you have to weld in the passenger side frame rail bracket. The newer chassis bolt in
Thanks man I'm planning on k swapping my db1 teg
Will I need to get an intermediate shaft too?
Dude i so need help doing the same swap awesome job
Jason Suarez it’s an awesome swap to do, a lot of fun!
I know it’s been suck a time but question brotha..
I’m going k as well just wanted to ask what did you do for or with speed0 cable .. ??
can we use it with a countershaft css trans??
I used a crx speed sensor, and repinned the harness for it. If you email brian@hasport.com or check out vtec academy I believe the wire diagram is available there
@@ChrisSadowski much appreciated!!
Let me know if you anything for sale for the DA
I sell front and rear crash bars, as well as harness bars and I will have k swap intakes for them soon
@@ChrisSadowski niceee how much for a those harness bars
@@ChrisSadowski oh btw I can’t find a hush performance cable to hydro anywhere would you be willing to fab one up if I pay the right amount???
I have a k24a2 with 6spd trans...stock setup just intake. What motor oil would you recommend and what trans oil? Thanks
Motor oil doesn’t matter, just whatever they normally take. I think it’s just 5w20 or 5w30. I use pennzoil or valvoline synchromesh fluid for my trans
I just use normal. You don’t need to run synthetic
Hahah vatozone. Youngstatic language lmao
Do you know where I can find a website where it tells me everything I need to Kswap a 92 Honda Civic vx?
Christian Lara go on k20a.org you'll find everything you need to know
Vtecacademy.com. They have a full write up from their budget EG build with costs
ChrisSadowski thanks man!👌
I want to K- swap my first gen Integra so bad.
Braden Hasport can help make it happen 😉
I'm jealous I got a stock 1990 LS
Would auto k20 swap in auto dc4integra be worth it for someone in wheelchair that can’t use a clutch ? I’m trynna get some power but kinda stuck on options
I’m not sure how an auto swap would
Go honestly, what about boost? It may be cheaper for you to boost your motor and upgrade your trans then to do a k swap
Muda Sucka the stock trans can handle a fair amount I would think. It all depends on the power your going for but I would safely assume 250hp would be good still with the auto easily
How much for ur old setup??
Local pickup only. Not shipping. But 1500$ for engine and trans. 2000$ for that plus ecu mounts and shifter
i wish this was a detailed video on how to do a K swap not just a video of you k swapping your car
There is a thousand videos on how to k swap your car.
@@ChrisSadowski there are 0 videos on how to k swap a da9 integra !
It’s the same as every other car. Only difference is in the weld in trans bracket and harness
@@ChrisSadowski you should make a more detailed video on it. Especially the mounts and what all is needed to be done
The trans mount just needs to be welded in, EF/DA have weld in brackets, the rest of the hondas are bolt in.
I can make a how to video one of these days, it’s been so long I’m not sure I’ll remember everything 😅
Can you run powersteering in da with k20?
Yes
@@ChrisSadowski so you kept the power rack and used a k20 pump? thank you
I’m not using power steering. But you CAN use it. Google has all the answers
#KhrisSadowski even the name should be K swapped 👍👍👍
parts list please
All over the internet
Love this comment if you see it
Wanna sell your old head?
Motor goes complete. Not parting out
ChrisSadowski i think i knew that was gonna be your answer, how much for whole swap? If you would even sell her
Longblock and trans, $1500. Long-block and trans with ecu, mounts, and shifter $2,000
Very interesting. Let me ponder that
