Long term IMO is waaaayyy better then Short Term
1. Support/Resistance lines are more concrete
2. You catch WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY more pips on the Higher Timeframe and have more sustain runs.
3. You don’t have to over leverage your account to because again your catching sooo much pips and you account to grow faster.
4. You see clearly where the market is going 💯💯💯

What I like about 8 hour charts in TradingView is that each candle roughly corresponds to each global trading session: Europe, New York, and Asia.

Funny but I find short term trading on 1 to 15 minute charts as the most relaxing and challenging way to trade. I do look at the weekly and daily charts for seeing the general way things are going but I never trade on them
Great content Rob. My advice to the more simple minded people is to invest in ETFS and index funds. Just to make sure to pay yourself first whenever you get paid. I have seen a great deal of success for I’ve only been investing for 3years now. I study my goals and put few hours of study into the market each week with my portfolio handler. We should all do the same, if not more!

I trade only once per 4 hour candle,I always break even when price goes a little to my favour and use the atr to determine my exit usually after a week.Worked like a charm so far,I also liked the concept of short term trading but there is a lot of "lagg" on those short term timeframes
Thank you, that answered some of my questions. I'm trying to learn more because I converted EUR to USD at the wrong time and lost like 7 %... I'm just interested in the long term, just to maximize profits with stock investing, so I hope it's easier and less risky than short term.
7:44 Triple or intertimeframe. This is awesome content. Short term and long term is also a question of personality and lifetime. Its easy for a swing trader to keep a normal job. because big timeframes gave us time to think.
i try to keep it SIMPle: when i look at charts i think of a ball bouncing up and down along a series of lines, each line representing a price point. I'm still learning but it made more sense to me that way.
People who can live off of trading candles are just...really good and have a lot of grit because they miss a lot of information concerning actual price action.
Sort of goes against what I have paid to be taught. Three time frames High to set the curve, intermediate to detect the trend, and low to set the trade within the trend.
My intent is for my trade to increase to the end of the week if it doesn't I look at the long term highs and lows and make sure it is likely to move the right way

i'm a scalper and correct me if i'm wrong but i make more money this way and i love to look at charts i can see a trade st up in matters of minutes and another trade and another.i'm in love with this. lets say you make a trade from 0 to 10, you just made 10, while i make a trade from 0 to 5, it came down from 2 went to 6 another trade, from 6 came down to 4 went to 8, another trade,from 8 down to 6 went to 10, i have made 17. i guess it's a lot's of work but money can't be that easy

That would be very difficult to do in the crypto world as the typically high fees would very quickly outweigh you're profits by a large margin.

I believe long term beats short term because is safer and the earnings can be considerate as capital gains.

I am a position trader and the time frames that I'm focusing are daily and weekly charts. I have ever traded a one-minute chart and honestly... the stress that I had to endure was insanely high
I am thinking of switching to position trading, but i have a prop firm.

I have been on short term since February, sometimes you can close trades on seconds. However, I agree with the stress, it can be frustrating also. There are times when you encounter a losing trade and you loss your cool only to find out it recovers greatly afterwards 😅
Can I use FOREX to invest in a currency and hold it for months or even years until if revalues? Can I short the US dollar and hold that short for months or longer until the dollar crashes?

When discussing Short-term vs Long-term trading we primarily are exploring how much money could be made either way - not specifically whether we are trading for a minute vs a week or year. How much money can you make day trading vs longterm, ideally

I would love to hear from real traders their honest experiences. Where there is a winner there is a loser, so the 87% (persons, not money involved) plus small traders are on one side while the institunional traders are on the other side.

Long-term are the best cause you can track the market easier
Your right about this. On a demo account I turned $500,000 to 1 million this month. Because I was able to calculate where the market was going, patience is key. If you can calculate where its going an put in the right lot size you'll double that amount in a day or 2. I was able to go from red to blue in a day or 2 an the longer I let it sit the more I made. Compared to my short trading account. I've won over 9/10 trades long term

What are the procedures i need to start my first trade ? i really need a very good piece of advise.
Hope you know the nature of Forex trading, Forex trading is to exchange the value of one currency for another, in other words you will always buy a currency while trading another one. it is just a mutual movement. You must have a specific pairs you trade one. All i have to advice to you is try to make sure you understand a lot about trading before venturing into it.
It is simple, first you have to select a currency pair, analyze the market and read it's quotes.

@@jamestyler3365 Haha, I am from the states, I learnt everything i know now from my account manager Mr Sean, He handled all my trades when i started trading and gradually i gained experience and started on my own, though he still trades for me till today

I have been trading for about 6 years and have been trying Long term forex trading for about a year. I do very well out of it because I win more trades than I lose and I win more money in my wins than I lose in my losses. There is one very serious problem though, The ROLLOVER or OVERNIGHT fees are crippling my account, I have made no actual money because the overnight fees are non stop sucking all my profits away...it is an impossible situation. Please explain how you do so well with these relentless overnight fees every single day? Thank you.
