Columbia River Gorge Motorcycle Ride: Hood River to The Dalles

Ride with us 25 miles on Oregon's Columbia River Gorge Scenic Byway. Starting at Hood River we visit the Western Antique Aeroplane &Automobile Museum. W.A.A.A.M. is well worth the stop,with lots of planes, automobiles, and motorcycles from a bygone era. Leaving Hood River we continue along on Interstate 84 to the little town of Mosier. At Mosier we follow the Historic Columbia River Highway and climb high above the Columbia River to Rowena Point. Dropping down from Rowena Point we ride through the famous Rowena Loops and on to the Columbia Gorge town of The Dalles. Part 3 of 4.

Great ride great video. I live in The Dalles. Another great ride around here is west on 84 to Cascade Locks and cross the Bridge of the Gods and head back east on the 14 in Washington state. I just did it this morning. I put thousands of miles on my bike just in the Gorge
Thanks so much Gino. The Gorge is such a fantastic area to explore you are very lucky. I do have a few other vids of the area, but I have not done the Washington side. I have also really enjoyed those roads heading southeast through Heppner and on to Baker City. Just a great area!
I can't speak for everyone but with such a well done video, I would like to see (hear) you not crack the throttle when shifting down. Enjoy the road, you look like you are having fun!

My work, today, is done!
Not sure how I missed this Scenic Byway nearly in my backyard, Robert. I’ve always rolled down I-84, and have even crossed the Columbia River at Hood River, then trek’d east along the river to where I can cross back over to The Dalles. Looks like a beautiful stretch along that white picket fence, with the mighty Columbia in the backdrop!
It is a beautiful stretch, not really very long, but very nice, and overlooked. Beyond the Dalles check out from Hepner to Baker City.
Will do! I just rolled thru John Day and on to Baker City a month ago. Never made it over to and thru Hell’s Canyon, but saw the sign sharing only 68 mi from a Baker City.
This would be a really fun mustang cruise! I wanna do this one day.

Great video, Robert. What do you use to capture the footage and do you reduce its sound level when editing in the music?
Thank you. I use a Gopro to capture the video. However I am using a Nikon to capture the audio, then I mix the sound and music into the video later.
