Berlioz, Les Troyens, Act II finale, Anna Caterina Antonacci (Cassandra), Choeur du Théâtre du Châtelet / Théâtre du Châtelet 2003 I like this production; more here: baltimoreandme.wordpress.com/2...
I had the great pleasure, honor, thrill of seeing Shirley Verret sing this in New York in the 70s. One of the great evenings ever spent in the theatre. Like Miss Antonacci does now, Verrett owned the role then.
I love this clip! the drama, the intensity and balance in the music between ACA's voice with the choir and very precise orchestration! I think the choir is the Monteverdi Choir (i recognized many of the singers from their Bach rehearsal video with JEG)
For me, the best. The same scene by the Met with Norman is no march. The Met production was an embarrassmet except for the glorious Dido of Susan Graham.
A.C.Antonacci est de loin la meilleure interprète de Cassandre, rôle bouleversant. Présence physique et vocale d'une intensité jamais égalée.
i know it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released movies online ?
@Alexzander Colson ehh lately I've been using flixportal. just search on google for it :) -mark
@Mark Raphael Thank you, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I appreciate it !!
@Alexzander Colson no problem :)
Antonnaci simply the definitive Cassandra.

0:40, Vous qui tremblez et gardez le silence,
3:45, Nous méprisons votre lâche menace,
