A meditative and melancholy remix of LEGEND from DELTARUNE, the new game from Undertale creator Toby Fox. Laid back hip hop beat over hi-fi piano, celesta, and concert bells. I heard this song for the first time when I had UA-cam set to autoplay, commuting home from Chicago in the late evening. Standing on a bridge by Museum Campus, watching the city skyline at dusk during the holiday season, listening to this song, was a really genuinely magical moment for me. Thank you for making music.

Looking back on it this was an extremely rough time in my life-- I hated the major I was in and was struggling with an undiagnosed mental illness (adhd-pi), wasn't adjusting well, and was lowkey suicidal lmao. Much better now thankfully! While this song does unfortunately remind me of that rough time, it still slaps total ass lol-- it's SO good! And Chicago during the holiday season is great! You should consider visiting if you've got the means.

The Celesta and bells fit so cutely. This mix has such a nice calming vibe. The progression is also very interesting. It's the same song, but with a slightly different feel every passage. Very interesting

This has got to be one of the most awesome deltarune remixes I've heard!
i would like to tell a story using this music, here it goes
0:00 here we see our protagonist standing in front of a door with a key
0:17 they insert the key and turn the lock, transitioning into
0:19 a flashback sequence of our 8 year old protagonist in bed with their mother sitting beside them reading them a bedtime story
0:37 this transitions into a scene of them playing at the park with their friends
0:54 the importance of these memories now realized, it cuts back to current day protagonist along with their two best friends opening the door with confidence to see the antagonist, where the three duel together against the antagonist until
1:29 where one falls during the battle and the other heals them while the protagonist continues to ward off the antagonist so they can continue attacking together
1:47 the fallen friend gets back up and is fully healed
1:55 all three look at each other, trying to figure out how to deal the final blow in a way the antagonist can't defend against
2:02 each friend goes after the antagonist on the beat
2:06 with the antagonist "defeated" the three friends begin to walk their way to the exit while teasing each other
2:23 then, right when they get to the door, a giant trapdoor that the entire floor was secretly made out of opens and our three friends fall into a very long fall where an air fight occurs with the antagonist as he was faking death
2:45 upon actual death the antagonist drops their backpack which, had not been a backpack, but actually a parachute, the friends then hold each other while one activates the parachute
3:00 after a long day, we see a closing shot of the three friends each returning to their respective house
The google commercial that came before this almost made me cry.
Listening to this while it's raining outside is definitely an experience.
This feels so living and chill unlike the other upbeat rock covers. Truly captures the feeling of the original track.

This feels like a dream, for some reason. It’s giving me a weird vibe. It’s chime-y like a sleeping lullaby, but also has intense high & low points.
It embodies the deltarune world because it’s completely made up, in a game that doesn’t exist in the real world. Like a meta-dream, I always have those.
