Great video solid information my issue was the main positive wire going from the inside fuse box to the driver side door , the wire was stripped. Manage to fix it. Appreciate it 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks brotha! So I figured a cable way cut in between the door. Because, like you stated, the driver window would only move in a certain position. But I came to look for other possibilities to the problem. And you confirmed it for me. So good job for making me reassure and check that spot. The widow got stuck on down and I rather have the window stay up while I find the time to fix it.
Hi. I got a 2006 Silverado LTZ. With no power in my drivers door. Checked the 60 amp fuse. It’s good. Any suggestions please. I took apart my controls for the door. Cleaned everything up. Put back together. No luck. Could it be another fuse or something.?
I pulled both fuses you said is used to send power to the power windows, but both still had power. I don't believe these fuses you pointed out are responsible for 12v to power windows. I had a switch that was stuck in the down position due to water intrusion and just wanted to remove power until I could buy a new switch. BTW, do not buy the cheap aftermarket switches like I did, they do not last very long and it had the wrong color illusion (blue, instead of green).
For some in the comments still having problems, it actually super easy and quick to take apart your switches. Inside your switch assembly are some contacts that get dirty or maybe acquire a little surface rust over time from condensation. Clean off those contacts and you might be back in business. I've done it a few times to my '07 Silverado, to my sister's Tahoe once, and it ALWAYS makes a difference. May not be your problem but worth investigating.
So my passenger window functions normally with the passenger switch but will only go down when using the driver side switch any ideas what I should do next (replaced the drivers side switch with no change)
I’m having trouble I replaced the passenger side fuse under the hood but it blew any suggestions, all both driver windows go down but no passenger windows won’t
Wish I would've watched this before I bought new switches. Installed them, still no power so I try the swinging door trick and just like that they started moving. Now it's time to do some rewiring 😂
So lol......ii left my window down and got the master switch wet. Of course it shorted out with the benefit of a bad electrical smell in the cab. Anyway now I have no power to the entire driver side front and rear doors. No windows or locks mirror or heated seat. Seat adjustment works. No fuses on the fuse block in the engine bay are blown. Is this the 25 amp circuit breaker your talking about? I know the master switch is bad but it shouldn't shut down everything on that side.
@@redneckgamers8148 well, what mine ended up being was faulty driver side switch. Apparently common thing in these trucks. It'll kill others and only driver will work. Have to replace driver side entire switch. Everything works fine now
have a 2500 Chevy silverado 2008 2D truck that I just bought, and it did not pass inspection due to power windows and I change fuses and I already changed the engine of the window system and it does not work, what do you recommend I do?
My passenger window is not working. I use the switch on the passenger door and nothing, I use the switch on on the passenger side and nothing. The other 3 windows work fine. Thoughts?
I have a 2013 all windows work, however, from my driver side I can roll driver window up and down & rear passenger side up and down, I can roll rear driver side down but not up and can't roll passenger side up or down... this is from my driver side control panel only. All windows work just fine from the designated control panel. Any suggestions?
I have a question my 2016 Chevy Silverado regular cab I had changed my battery then like a few months later my passenger window stopped working ! I replaced my window motor, inspected that fuses weren’t burned and that my switches worked which were all fine but then I saw that is jst wasn’t getting power! I hooked a battery to my window motor and windows went up and down. So at this point idk why it’s not getting power to my window motor or if it’s a bad relay any help you guys can let me know ?
