    A tornado is wide awake, and able to focus on killing you, whereas a landspout is in the world of sleep, with dreams of killing you, and sometimes dreams come true.

      Actually, according to this video, we had a landspout that destroyed multiple villages and even turned a bus on the side. If that's a "world of sleep" then I don't know what to say...

    Landspouts are a Kind of Tornado that does not gorm From a Supercell. So, Not all Tornadoes come from Supercells.

      Honestly, an argument can be made that landspouts aren't tornadoes. It's actually a pretty gray area.

    Some people say a tornado is the same as a landspout it is not. Tornado is a death wish for some people. A land spout is basically an ef0.

    So landspout is like a dust devil? Same kinda formation from ground up?

    • @birdlover6842
      @birdlover6842 3 роки тому +1

      Yes the difference being a land spout is connected to a benign cumulus cloud. Should a dust devil go under a developing cumulus cloud it would become a land spout.

    Sooo according to this video...70% of tornadoes are actually landspouts?.. I don't get it. I've seen plenty of tornadoes and strong ones from classic supercells and not mesocyclones. We had a multi-cell thunderstorm here not long ago, and it produced a F3 tornado which destroyed villages and even turned a bus on side. The storm had no rotating updraft, the circulation was just under the storm. According to this video, it would be classified as a landspout?.. It makes no sense to me, really. I would classify this as an F0 tornado. Spouts appear only on the sea (water).

    • @birdlover6842
      @birdlover6842 3 роки тому +2

      I agree. According to them, a whirlwind that occurs within a quasi linear convective system with a severe thunderstorm would be a land spout. Quite a far cry from a land spout occurring in benign weather conditions like most of them.

    • @Tigers9596
      @Tigers9596 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah the explanation isn't great, but landspouts aren't most tornadoes. Spouts are on and off land. Also yes, "tornadoes" that aren't driven by mesocyclones are landspouts, unless they are driven by QLCS rotation. Then they are QLCS Tornadoes. What was the EF-3 tornado you are referencing?

      No a WATERspout forms on water and a LANDspout forms on land snd forms like an upside down tornado, much weaker and short lived and doesnt cause much damage, much like a waterspout

    Tbh how i know the difference of tornadoes and landspouts is that a landspout is a upside down tornado and vice versa
