Thank you Alison, those post carts are magical, I love the reveal of tape removal. I am so glad this video was long, containing those beautiful collage cards, stunning post card, atc's and design tape too. I awoke very early due to pain and your video took me out of myself and let it go away. Today is my Christmas with family, with multiple family preferences this is the day that everyone is available. So brunch is in about 5 hours, time to get my fingers inky, shower and show up with a smile on my face. Looking at your sweep of desk and projects, I kind of understand your feelings about the color red. I love using it, but I think I see why it is an angry color for you. Have a wonderful day and thank you again.
I hope you were able to summon enough energy (and painkillers!) to enjoy the day with your family, and that you can now settle down and have a restful 12 Days of Christmas once they begin. I'm so happy to hear the video gave you a good start to the festivities, and yes, there's nothing quite like the masking-tape peel moment. Thanks so much, as always, for your company and lovely comments.
How lovely ... thank you for your company on this creative journey. I was also really happy with how today's turned out, especially the postcards. Not quite what I imagined at the start, but I LOVED them by the end!!
Absolutely gorgeous, everything is beautiful, love how you marry all the inks, stains, paints together with the stamping and inking. This is something I hope to aspire to do more off, thanks so much for sharing 😊
Thank you so much for that lovely comment... I hope you'll be able to follow through on that aspiration and allow yourself lots of experimental playtime with mixing the mediums in 2025!
I find it really helpful to have more than one thing on the go at a time... then if I get stuck with one project, there's always something to be doing, and I can allow a bit of thinking/marinating/processing time to go on in the back of my mind while I'm playing with something else. Thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comment.
I waited for the big reveal, Alison and so enjoyed your talking with your ephemera, stamps and inks as you decided placement and your vision in your designs. These cards and postcards turned out so beautifully as did your masking tape, “Washi” tape! I love sharing my mornings with you! 😘😘😘
Peeling the masking tape is always so transformative... and these postcards may have ended up as one of my favourite things I've made this year! Thank you so much for your company, Gina, and for your always lovely comments.
So gorgeous! I loved the archival greens and your use of salvaged Patina. I was busy until today so took a break to create and to watch your decision making- most helpful. Many thanks Alison and wishing you all the best next year. ❤🇦🇺
So happy you found some time to stop by, and delighted you enjoyed the journey here. I think the postcards are some of my favourite creations this year! Thank you so much for watching and your always lovey comments. Happy New Year to you too.
Magical and ethereal - like no other youtube artist I follow, you have the aesthetic that I am striving towards. That alone is a wonderful thing, but you also explain - in passing and chatting - how to do something, what else to possibly try, and why a third thing might not work as well. As a relative beginner, I cannot tell you how grateful I am! Once the holidays are over, I will try out a few of my favorite projects of yours. (Not that I expect to create on your level; you are clearly a very talented and accomplished artist.) For now, I just want to wish you the most joyful, peaceful, and restorative holidays that our troubled world can provide. Thank you again - Claudia, from Oregon, USA
Oh, what a beautiful comment to read, thank you, Claudia. I'm so happy that you are finding the out-loud-thinking so useful, in addition to being inspired by the work itself. I'm even more delighted that you are planning to have a play yourself - explore, experiment, but most of all have fun! If you approach it with curiosity rather than judgment, there are no "wrong" results. And thank you for those festive wishes - very much agree that we need all the winter restoration we can find for ourselves to prepare for what's to come, so the same to you!
Absolutely beautiful Alison and once again Uncharted Mariner makes magic. I absolutely love all those gorgeous greens and the white embossing . Very inspiring, thank you 😊
Yes, those frosted stems were always part of the plan, though the backgrounds did take me by surprise - not quite what I'd imagined but I LOVE how they turned out!! Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment. Have fun playing!
They'll definitely be getting pride of place round here for a while... I love where they ended up (even if it's not quite how I imagined them at the start!). Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
I'm so very happy you found your way here - welcome! I hope you'll enjoy exploring some more on the channel. Thank you so much for watching, and for your lovely comment.
Alison, your channel is quickly becoming a real favorite. I so enjoy your style. Hopefully in the new year, I can try some mixed media. Those postcards are really pretty. I think a set of those would make a lovely gift
Oh, that's great to know, Julie, thank you. I do hope you'll find some mixed media playtime in 2025... the possibilities are endless! Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comment.
Such an enjoyable time watching you build up those gorgeous layers. I particularly like those frosty wintry colours in the postcards. I have also added more stamp sets to my wish list! Thank you, it's always a joy!
So happy you found lots of wintry joy here... I did too! Thank you, as always, for your company and lovely comments, and have a peaceful and merry festive season.
These 4 greenery cards really turned out as a real artwork. Stamping Christmassy cards with Uncharted Mariner and that great effect, for me it was impossible to think about that without seeing it happen. You are a magician with those colors and the hints of oxide to the distress ones.
Thank you so much, Tineke... it was such an interesting journey with the postcards - not quite what I imagined at the start, but I LOVE how they turned out by the end! Hope you have a lovely, gentle Christmas.
@@w0rdsandp1ctures I don’t think I have any stamp from Aall&Create. I love the dies. The tag dies are unlike any other. I love the unique wonkiness of them. Some of the dies are very similar to PA stamps.
This was awesome... I feel I keep using the same adjectives to describe what you create... but 'awesome' applies this time. Beautiful post cards, lovely Christmas cards, potential acts and sumptuous 'washi' tape
Oh, that's such a lovely comment to read... I'm very happy to hear whatever adjectives you choose to use!! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to share your thoughts.
It seems to me that every stamp you use turns into a work of art. I love the postcards! When you added the Uncharted Mariner berries it just popped! I think I need to order that ink pad to add to my TH selection.
@@w0rdsandp1cturesyes, red can be a strong color. But given your love for green, I'd think itd be a natural duo, especially this time of year. We see green and red everywhere. Kind of like Summer, where its blue and tan together. We'll soon be past Christmas, so you can relax until next year :)
Wishing you and Freddy a happy Christmas! I am making a lemon meringue pie today so the prompt was so appropriate 😂 I am sending you the number 70 for the happy mail. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and love with all of us!
Not sure this comment is for me... you might need to repost it somewhere else for its real recipient. Sounds fun though, and I'm definitely envious of the lemon meringue pie!
Alison, I love them all. I’ve learned, not to watch you and my three and four-year-old granddaughters at the same time. It took me quite a while to see this video in its entirety, finishing it up after the girls went home happy holiday to you and your loved ones.
That's so funny... no, I can imagine that your attention would be divided! Happy you managed to get to the end of these (many) minutes of fun eventually... and season's greetings to you and yours too.
There were a couple of times where you used the word “grand” in reference to the look you had just achieved by adding something. I just want to say that this entire video was GRAND! Very much enjoyed watching your process and definitely enjoyed the final results. TFS. Best of the season to you!!
Yes, I'm really happy with them - and delighted that the postcards took me by surprise - not quite what I imagined at the start, but I LOVE where they ended up.
Thank you Alison, absolutely gorgeous projects. I love listening to your narrative and watching you use the techniques I have grown to love in new exciting ways. Merry Christmas

Another tour de force Alison. Beautiful post Cards. I am loving these longer few minutes of fun. In fact the longer the better for me. ❤Jackie . If you thought a 42.c was a hot day try 46c forecast for Dec 26. Hibernation is beginning to look like an option !😂

Oh my goodness.. what a stunningly beautiful set of postcards and your collaged cards are very pretty 😍 What will you be doing with your postcards? I would love to see how you incorporate those into a project.
Very happy you enjoyed it all. The cards have been delivered, but the postcards are done exactly as they are, I think. I have no further plans for them at this stage (though that could always change). They give me huge joy as small art pieces and I feel no urge to do anything more with them. Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment.
Very happy you found your way here - welcome! Delighted you enjoyed the journey in this episode, and I hope you'll have fun exploring more on the channel. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and subscribing - much appreciated.
Thank you very much - happy you enjoyed the magic! Like everything on the cards, the mistletoe comes from one of the Tim Holtz ephemera packs listed in the description... I'm not sure which one, I'm afraid - maybe the Christmas Botanicals Layers - but in any case the seasonal packs of Idea-ology ephemera only exist for the year they are released, so unless you can find old stock, this year's release won't necessarily have the same elements in them, I'm afraid.
Hello Dear Alison, can you please share where I can find your curated paperartsy fresco paint colors?? I remember seeing them somewhere in the past & I thought I wrote them down…..now I can’t find either my list or where I saw them.
That depends where you live. In the USA, I believe Joggles still has them in stock. In the UK, Country View Crafts has them. (In the search bar, use the individual names of the sets - "Berrylicious Brights" or "Botanical Basics" or "Background Blues" - and they should come up. If you're somewhere else in the world, you'll need to take a look at the PaperArtsy stockists where you are (listed alphabetically by country in the link below). If you can't track them down, let me know and I can take a look for you. But also, if you can't find the sets, or don't necessarily want all the colours at once, then all the paints in the sets are available individually from PaperArtsy stockists who carry the paint. I hope that helps! blog.paperartsy.co.uk/p/find-stockist.html

its so beautuful
Thank you very much.
Oh my goodness.. what a stunningly beautiful set of postcards and your collaged cards are very pretty 😍
What will you be doing with your postcards?
I would love to see how you incorporate those into a project.
Very happy you enjoyed it all. The cards have been delivered, but the postcards are done exactly as they are, I think. I have no further plans for them at this stage (though that could always change). They give me huge joy as small art pieces and I feel no urge to do anything more with them.
Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment.
beauuuuutiful 😍😍😍
Thank you very much.
I enjoyed this a lot! I am a new subscriber!
Very happy you found your way here - welcome! Delighted you enjoyed the journey in this episode, and I hope you'll have fun exploring more on the channel. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and subscribing - much appreciated.
Very wintery and magical ✨️
Can I ask: where did you get these lovely mistletoe bowels?
Thank you very much - happy you enjoyed the magic! Like everything on the cards, the mistletoe comes from one of the Tim Holtz ephemera packs listed in the description... I'm not sure which one, I'm afraid - maybe the Christmas Botanicals Layers - but in any case the seasonal packs of Idea-ology ephemera only exist for the year they are released, so unless you can find old stock, this year's release won't necessarily have the same elements in them, I'm afraid.
@w0rdsandp1ctures Thank you very much. I can always buy your mistletoe stamps and try to cut them out 💫
The perfect plan... and then you'll never run out of mistletoe! (There were only two boughs in the packet...)
Hi. Gorgeous! Tfs.Sherry 🇨🇦.

Thank you very much.
