Important Updates and Info LEVELING UP: The fastest way to level up weapons and rank is to play to round 15 then exfil, the more people, the more xp you earn. However, my friends and I played to round 35 then exfiled on round 36 every game during double weapon xp. This let us level up a single weapon to level 50 each game as well as get decent camo progression completed. UNLOCKING DARK AETHER EARLY: There is a bug in the game where you can unlock the mastery camo early since some weapons have counted as entire weapon categories towards completion. This has been fixed however if you unlocked dark aether early you can only equip it to weapons you have gold viper on. I did unlock dark aether early but I only unlocked it when I had 2 smgs and 3 assault rifles to complete. When I unlocked dark aether fully I still only had 3days and 22 hours played. AimBot: No I'm not using aimbot lmao. For the PC players who are brand new to zombies, if you use controller and have deadshot the auto aim is extremely strong as it always has been in zombies and will snap on their heads. It's literally the perks function.

If you're also going for dark matter, I'd recommend you level the guns on multiplayer. Since the 5 kill streaks and the science camo are kinda annoying to do, might as well get some progress in the process of leveling them.

a good tip, when trying to get camoes for knife, launchers, and snipers use the blue spas12 wallbuy near broken wing as your secondary, it can be used to split the megaton and weaken him to where you can one shot with whatever weapon your grinding camo for. you can also use the spas 12 to take out dogs

I honestly feel like Outbreak made this about 10 times easier, at least for me. It is hard for me doing these round based zombie modes. It really just takes a few rounds to get almost all but the 2500 challenges. The weapon levels are the hardest part of the deal to unlock the challenges while the 2500 challenges are just tedious.
8:50 vintage camo. If you kill 2 splits with 1 bullet, or rocket, it will count for 2 medals which those are being used to count towards camos. If you kill a split megaton separately, it counts for 1 since it’s technically still 1 mega
Some tips for the knife (if you need them). You can get through to the truck bed by the end of round 3, sit up there for the beginning rounds and you should get rapid kills and kills without getting hit. Use your ability combined with monkey bombs, decoys or flash nades for the other 2 challenges at the same time. Use ring of fire and/or stun nades for megs and meg splits. You can packapunch as early as round 7 if you get double points or 8 just normally and that should get you packapunch kills from as early as possible. Buy the first gun on round 5 on your way to the truck bed. This will be the cheapest option for doing coffin dance. Then swap that for coffin dance gun (it will save on salvage for upgrades). It will also give you a little extra salvage from the coffin box for upgrades. Packapunching at round 8 or 7 will benefit you as megs will spawn earlier and you may get an extra meg round before exfil (round 9/10 meg instead of round 11/12). Lastly. Try not to go down. Obviously in general but going down using knife happens often as its close quarters. 1 down can set back the knife damage upgrades a few rounds due to the rare salvage so using aether shroud or stims is a good idea unless you have stuns, monkeys or decoys for other challenges. I'd recommend stuns as they can be thrown at your feet if trapped, buying you a few extra seconds to escape. Sorry for long comment, I struggled with knife and found these tips the hard way. Yh I'm currently on snipers now and it's not too bad tbh but then I've been sniping on every game since I can remember so I'm pretty good 😂 it's the launchers that is gonna be tough because of the "20 kills without getting hit"

Another tip, don't pickup the key card from the first megaton bc that will increase the spawn rate. The game will spawn megatons every couple of rounds to give you another chance to pick up the keycard.
Just some tips! Use the outbreak mode to get all your elites done I usually get twelve and then go for round 25 in die machine also infection is reeeeeaaaaallllly easy in the first 5 round and so go for it
A small thing for saving zombies: if you have a weapon that needs its packed camos and nothing else don't bother with using it in the starting room, just quick melee up to 13750 points which is the amount needed to buy through and pack a weapon with the minimum requirement of doors
All guns are really easy they just take time! A good trick is after round 20 train up & kill the megatons before killing any zombies so you can get 2 to spawn in on solo & 3 on coop! When the megaton splits you only gotta kill the 2nd one not both even if you damage it alot & someone else kills it, it still counts! But overall the hardest part is just ranking the weapons 😅
Another tip is don’t pick up the key card the Megaton drops if you don’t pick it up you get more megaton spawns hope this helps for the elite eliminations
lil m79 tip: I thought it was going to be quite difficult for the one shot kills, but once I had it pack-a-punched, it became real easy. I would train in spawn, going from corner to corner, and lead them over by the tank, then sprint over to the small stairs and just fire all rounds into the middle. The stairs give you just enough height to see the tops. decoys also work for this, assuming you can see them all.
Fun fact: DLC guns count towards diamond, so you can use those instead if you don’t want to use a launch weapon: ex. Do the MAC-10 instead of the KSP-45.

8:40 If you kill both splits at the same time you get 2 elims counted. I've tried killing both within a second of each other but still counts as 1. Shotguns for sure I know are the easiest weapon to accomplish this with because of the spread. Edit: Its possible with snipers as well although they don't have much penetration, so using a ring of fire and lining both of them up while they are low health is the best to get a 2 for 1 deal.

dm ultra grind in mp is hell man. been at it since the day after Christmas and i only have diamond snipers, gold cigma, and gold thumper. rpg is gonna be hell for streaks lmao
The reason the megaton kills would count as two is how fast you kill the halves, almost simultaneously killing both halves counts as two. Especially for launchers w/ ring of fire, you can easily have every megaton count as two instead of one by spamming rockets and killing both halves at the same time.
the elite kills always count for 1 once you kill both splits. the only way it’ll count for 2 is if you get both splits low enough and then kill them both with the same bullet

I asked the same elite question on reddit. If you collateral kill both splits with the same bullet, itll count for 2. This makes launchers easy but its kinda hard to do with other guns. I've only done it a few times apart from launchers.
Guys if you’re on console and want more players to play with you can use a second controller if you have one and play split screen so that you get more xp and zombie kills
For attachments, I find the best are going to be; millstop reflex, socom eliminator, 16.3” titanium (go with task force for pistols), ember sighting point, infiltrator grip, salvo fast mag, serpent wrap, and was combat stock (for pistols and shotguns don’t attach the ones for stock or optic because they are not the best for those weapons)
This may not work for others (also i have basically only started game so this may not be best advice) so i spawn in with my starter weapon solo and keep killing zombies without opening anything buy ammo from cache Field upgrades benefits: Ring of fire: x5 damage while in ring Aether shroud: if overcrowded pop it Frost blast: (not recommended cause can kill zombies without weapon so no weapon xp) freezes zombies
in order to get an elite elimination you have to kill both forms of the megaton only using the weapon you’re trying to get camos for, so for example if you want an elite elimination with the knife you can only deal damage to the megaton with the knife
I don't mind the long annoying grind. The camos are easy and time consuming, so it isn't an issue on getting them. As someone who bought the game solely for Campaign and Zombies, it will give me something to do during content drought and DLC drops.

There was a random glitch were you could get dark aether sometimes if you did smgs last or something. Also camping on top of nacht is the best strat for high rounds.
I think the reason why megaton blasters are inconsistent is because they might count for half an elite elimination so killing two would count for one then killing one and going for another later would also count for one
I got the dark aether camo for every weapon. But been doing it since game came out. Can’t deny it looks better on some guns than others though. Treyarch need to also make it so the camo applies to all box weapons and wall buys
If you kill both megaton-halfes with the same shot (e.g. rocket launchers of collateral with a sniper) i counts a 2. I think it's like that because the game don't kniw which one was the last one, so they guve you 2 for the Challenge. You also get 500 points for both of them

Oh man... saying attachments don't matter is incorrect.. if you have a legendary weapon blueprint with the highest tier attachments, you can start at level 1 with the max bonus salvage/equipment drops which help a lot, the last tier barrel gives bonus damage which is useful, the grips give some good bonuses, and magazine size and reload is crucial for certain playstyles. If you want to speed through the rounds the fastest way, you go to the penthouse at the end of round 2 and stay until round 8 or 9, and then camp next to stamina up with all unnecessary doors closed until round 26-28, and then train zombies in the beginning room until round 36 exfil. Rinse and repeat. I buy: Round 8-9- packapunch, green/blue weapon upgrades, deadshot and speed cola, ice bullet upgrade Round 12-18- double packapunch, second armor upgrade, purple weapon upgrade, juggernog Round 18-25- triple packapunch, orange weapon upgrade, quick revive, stamina up Round 27 on- buy chopper gunner and monkey bombs and c4 when ready for exfil, usually don't need to buy c4 from basic drops...
If you have extra double xp tokens left over from modern warfare I’m telling plunder and supply run/ recon is the best way to level up guns my record is 22 levels in one game

8:40 If you kill both splits at the same time you get 2 elims counted. I've tried killing both within a second of each other but still counts as 1. Shotguns for sure I know are the easiest weapon to accomplish this with because of the spread.
Edit: Its possible with snipers as well although they don't have much penetration, so using a ring of fire and lining both of them up while they are low health is the best to get a 2 for 1 deal.

Another tip is that if you have a maxed weapon you can use the game mode cranked to get camos quickly
Vintage camos counts by killing the last megaton splitter and only counts as one. However, if you kill both splitters with one bullet I'll count as two elite eliminations. Good video Wild!!!

to get the megaton kills to count for the two points toward the challenge is plausible if you have two bosses you kill half of both of the splits
The reason the megaton kills would count as two is how fast you kill the halves, almost simultaneously killing both halves counts as two. Especially for launchers w/ ring of fire, you can easily have every megaton count as two instead of one by spamming rockets and killing both halves at the same time.

If it wasn't for there only being one map to play on I would be constantly grinding for dark aether

the elite kills always count for 1 once you kill both splits. the only way it’ll count for 2 is if you get both splits low enough and then kill them both with the same bullet
Hey I really appreciate it man I looked at the camps and I think dark aether looks way better than dm ultra came across your vid and all the info was extremely helpful I’m still in the phase of getting all my guns max level but so far you’re strats have been very very helpful and have made my life much easier
I asked the same elite question on reddit. If you collateral kill both splits with the same bullet, itll count for 2. This makes launchers easy but its kinda hard to do with other guns. I've only done it a few times apart from launchers.

Guys if you’re on console and want more players to play with you can use a second controller if you have one and play split screen so that you get more xp and zombie kills
For attachments, I find the best are going to be; millstop reflex, socom eliminator, 16.3” titanium (go with task force for pistols), ember sighting point, infiltrator grip, salvo fast mag, serpent wrap, and was combat stock (for pistols and shotguns don’t attach the ones for stock or optic because they are not the best for those weapons)

although elemental pop steals kills, if you are getting cornered and die a lot use it because it gives electric cherry when you reload
This may not work for others (also i have basically only started game so this may not be best advice) so i spawn in with my starter weapon solo and keep killing zombies without opening anything buy ammo from cache
Field upgrades benefits:
Ring of fire: x5 damage while in ring
Aether shroud: if overcrowded pop it
Frost blast: (not recommended cause can kill zombies without weapon so no weapon xp) freezes zombies
quick tip: using dead wire or the electric upgrade gives you extra damage against the megatons
For the elites, it counts as two if you kill both half’s with the same round like with splash damage from RPG
in order to get an elite elimination you have to kill both forms of the megaton only using the weapon you’re trying to get camos for, so for example if you want an elite elimination with the knife you can only deal damage to the megaton with the knife

I don't mind the long annoying grind. The camos are easy and time consuming, so it isn't an issue on getting them. As someone who bought the game solely for Campaign and Zombies, it will give me something to do during content drought and DLC drops.
DM Ultra is harder but I guess I'll go for this now too

There was a random glitch were you could get dark aether sometimes if you did smgs last or something. Also camping on top of nacht is the best strat for high rounds.

If you play on PC use a controller with deadshot to get the critical kills so much faster than normal kbm aiming

The last camo for zombies is unlocked at level 50 so he probably finished it rlly quickly
I think the reason why megaton blasters are inconsistent is because they might count for half an elite elimination so killing two would count for one then killing one and going for another later would also count for one
Sometimes I just roll the box and whatever gun I get that game, I level up and or gold.

Onslaught is very good for quick elite elims for melee/launchers as it has low health and spawns more common

I got a Full Sqaud yesterday during double XP and took my stoner 63, it was level 12 and I went through about 40 waves and it leveled up to level 41

I got the dark aether camo for every weapon. But been doing it since game came out. Can’t deny it looks better on some guns than others though. Treyarch need to also make it so the camo applies to all box weapons and wall buys

If you kill both megaton-halfes with the same shot (e.g. rocket launchers of collateral with a sniper) i counts a 2. I think it's like that because the game don't kniw which one was the last one, so they guve you 2 for the Challenge. You also get 500 points for both of them

Does someone knows if the Groza and the mac 10 (seasonal weapons) counts or is it like old black ops that dlc or seasonal weapons don’t counts towards dark aether?

Oh man... saying attachments don't matter is incorrect.. if you have a legendary weapon blueprint with the highest tier attachments, you can start at level 1 with the max bonus salvage/equipment drops which help a lot, the last tier barrel gives bonus damage which is useful, the grips give some good bonuses, and magazine size and reload is crucial for certain playstyles.
If you want to speed through the rounds the fastest way, you go to the penthouse at the end of round 2 and stay until round 8 or 9, and then camp next to stamina up with all unnecessary doors closed until round 26-28, and then train zombies in the beginning room until round 36 exfil. Rinse and repeat.
I buy:
Round 8-9- packapunch, green/blue weapon upgrades, deadshot and speed cola, ice bullet upgrade
Round 12-18- double packapunch, second armor upgrade, purple weapon upgrade, juggernog
Round 18-25- triple packapunch, orange weapon upgrade, quick revive, stamina up
Round 27 on- buy chopper gunner and monkey bombs and c4 when ready for exfil, usually don't need to buy c4 from basic drops...
I'm now motivated to go for the camo grind , cheers!
If you have extra double xp tokens left over from modern warfare I’m telling plunder and supply run/ recon is the best way to level up guns my record is 22 levels in one game
I have a tip You can activate double xp stuff on warzone then swap to cold war
