Exactly. Why would you want to be with someone who firstly you’re not married to, can’t trust and who clearly doesn’t share the feelings you have for them? Did she think he would be any different with this girl out of the picture or did she intend on killing every girl he ever showed even remote interest in?
That female detective was shockingly bad. My jaw DROPPED when she just revealed the evidence like that. I was genuinely blown away by how poorly she handled that. And the icing on top…she broke the law by continuing to talk to her after she requested an attorney!!
Technically she didn't request an attorney. She said "Do I need an attorney here?" and "I feel like I should have an attorney present." Neither of those are a request for an attorney according to the law. So the cop didn't actually break the law. That being said, that cop was terrible at her job.
You do realize that the officer DOESN’T have to shut up and not ask questions…they shut up because if she does answer its not admissible in court, not to mention that she said do i need a lawyer? Not I WANT A LAWYER

Its because when ur doing CPR you cant stop chest compressions once started until a trained professional arrives and takes over the compressions. So if ur a CNA the nurse or EMT has to take over compressions. So she was following protocol and stayed with her applying compressions. Its probably why her face was flushed and she was counting. 😢
@DominiAeternum because if you stop compressions the person will lose the flow of oxygen to their brain that you are providing by doing the lungs work for them. The won't be as compatible with the defribulator which is the device EMTs use to shock the heart back into working.

Cops should have gathered more evidence before bringing Kaitlin in for questioning. In fact, they should have compared the bullet casings to her gun to give them probable cause to arrest her for the murder of Mo. This way, even if she didn't want to talk. They can keep her locked up. But, in the end, she was apprehended, tried, and convicted to 90 years in prison. She's not very smart. Murdered Mo for what❓️ Jealousy and anger. @ This has nothing to to with my comment. In the united states police cannot continue questioning you after you have requested an attorney under the sixth amendment. Think before you make a room temperature IQ comment next time
@ She was trying to convince her, that's what I meant. Pay attention to her language ("Do I need to have an attorney?" is not a request) This is not a room temperature comment but rather a good point since the cops can still infringe on you if you don't be super-specific, but you do you. Yep, I'm sorry to inform you that we live in a world where cops can easily get away with technicalities like that. Am I the dumbass here then?
I work with people who have experienced deep trauma, and it is quite common that they need to repeat the story over and over and over as to somehow realize that it really happened…somehow it helps the brain / psyche assimilate it all. Super difficult…and unfortunately, men are taught to stuff all that down…hence crippling PTSD…which without outlet, can easily drive one mad. Frequently, this bottled trauma comes out in over-indulging (drinking/eating), violence, irritability, aggression, disproportionate outbursts, affairs, etc. It (the talking) is usually with women, talking is rather natural for them, and with men, it’s getting them to feel comfortable enough to talk, which takes a lot of work and courage from some, and creates a “double whammy” as the trauma alone is too much, but the sheer difficulty of sharing emotional pain is yet another great challenge. I send my love out to the world. (Sorry so long a response!)
@@thegroovyhead She'll get over it enough to still have bdroom fun. Womn claimto have trauma, but conveniently block it out of their minds, when having fun with a mate.

Paramedic here, just because she is leaking CSF doesn’t make her unsaveable. You can leak CSF from your nose and ears from a basal skull fracture and be walking and talking. Not being nitpicky, it just was worded like that was a determinating factor, but even a GSW to the head doesn’t automatically mean DOA. I just wanted to clarify that injuries incompatible with life, arent automatic with a GSW or leaking CSF, but the damage done inside the brain.

That investigator that wouldn't stop pressing her after asking for an attorney and asking to leave is worse than any solicitor I've ever met. She'd be great in an MLM 🙄
She never asked for a lawyer. She said that now would be a time to get one and seemed like a situation where one was needed. Unless explicitly said “I want a lawyer”, cops still can ask whatever they want
That female cop was terrible at her job. Super unconvincing and just all over the place with trying to convince her to talk. Also dropping a lead they have? Seems to me she is untrained to do this kind of interrogation
Strategies are often discussed with the higher ups before an interrogation. They don’t just go in blind and wing it. They also communicate with the higher ups as to what tactic to use next during the interview which is why they are seen on their phones. It’s not the detective making all the moves.
"do i stop ?" was already hard to hear, but the way the cop reacted... he seemed so touched, and like he wasn't prepared to that kind of situation. I don't think anybody is prepared to that kind of situation. I hope she poor girl is doing okay now
It's really stupid... The guy didn't want her, she kills the girl he wanted, he goes free to meet someone else and she gets 90 years in prison... What's the point!?
tbh the guy was trash he was leading her on and basically trying to date both of them at the same time. Definitely wasn't worth killing anybody over but it wasn't as basic as "he didn't want her"
@ban1o Yeah, it is that basic. Don't ever hold someone else responsible for what you feel, think, or how you chose to behave. All she had to do was handle herself within, and walk away. We all understand how she felt, but that was her toke to handle.
She didn’t kill for a man… she probably never cared that much about him. She killed because of her EGO getting hurt by her hooking up with someone else for that brief moment. That was a psicopath…
She saw him as her property. Mo was beautiful, successful and going well in life. Most important she had Colins interest . Katelin is not as pretty, has already had complicated behaviour. Colin can relate to Mo more. She has realised that her hold on him isn't quite as tight as she thought?... Then the schemes ugh. Low quality lady. What she could have done is asked mo to coffee and talk. Explain what they both feel. Be friends. Women should be raising others up. Not murdering eachother.
It's a control and ego thing. Colin was her possession, a dusty relic on a shelf, uncared for, but still hers. Someone took that from her and she was pissed. She needed to feel like she was in control and stick it to the man because her ego was shattered.
It's actually so crazy how much information and footage there is for this case. I'm happy technology is advancing enough to where cases like this can be solved in just a week or 2
Yes! This is why I don't understand when police don't find murderers of random citizens. For example, here in LA 3 men viciously murdered and ran over a guy whom one of the perpetrators owed money to. To this day, the police haven't caught any of them. And they committed the act in the middle of the street at night. Smh guess some people get lucky when their cases get solved.
@@madellynpineda5020 yesss it actually makes it even more frustrating when cases go unsolved bc you feel like... how can there be nothing when there are cameras everywhere, everyone has a phone on them, and all these advances in technology and forensics have happened? a woman named Liz Barraza was shot in her driveway as she was setting up a garage sale, they have video and audio and they identified a suspicious vehicle, and a couple years later it's still unsolved. it's just crazy how much luck can play a part in whether the perp is caught.
The detective messed up the whole process with the magic words “you’re not under arrest” and “you’re free to go” plus she exercised her rights to have a lawyer during the questioning. Despite the overwhelming evidence, she got away at first because of the mistakes the detective made, it’s upsetting but it makes sense to why we have the amendment “innocent until proven guilty”.
@@rileysmith1013 yes but the detective fumbled from the start, instead of trying to extract that information carefully using the warrant as an excuse to lead her into the investigation unaware, she flat out told her that her ex mentioned her name. She was paying attention to the detective’s words and took the chance to leave when it became an option. Thankfully she was caught but I can imagine the detective’s frustration on how she mishandled it and learned from her mistake.
They did not have her license plate on camera, just that it was the same make and model of car. I'm guessing that is not enough to obtain a warrant for her arrest and they probably did not have the phone records placing her at the scene until after that first questioning.

@@anonomyous65 Exactly. Which means the young cop was actually great, trying to hook her with "your side of the story" etc etc to keep her talking. The hard one to evade is the jeep by the victims house because of the camera footage. But I thought the same thing about the shell casings. Sometimes it's hard to complete a clean up checklist once the murder is complete. 😂😂😂
Correct. Don't even do the bike red herring but rather focus on the crime scene. Such just dials in the crime being done by someone known to the victim rather than a stranger. Yes stranger homicides are the exception but still possible but the bike just eliminated that angle on day one, essentially.

Hearing the woman ask if she should keep going jolts flashbacks of a similar scenario. My best friend died in my room due to choking after a heavy night of drinking. Its a long story, but i had passed out and told him he could come in and crash when he was done . I didnt even notice he had died and let him continue 'sleeping' until i noticed he wasn't breathing. He had puked and I believe choked on it. After dying his face laid in the acidic vomit , which wasnt noticable until I moved him. It had eaten away a good portion of his face. His body was stiff. I yelled to my roommate to call 911, he was visibly damaged from the sight and situation. He left after handing the phone off to me. The response told me to perform CPR, without breaths. At this point his body was so rigid, i was unable to even lay him on his back (he passed out in the fetal position and was stiff), so even getting him the position to do it was almost impossible. I knew he was gone, but i was instructed to do compressions, i broke some of his ribs, it caused a ton of PTSD. It was the most helpless feeling ive ever felt. I wish i couldve just woken up when he started choking arms reach from my bed. Whats worse is the questioning one is given after the fact.

@SunzzFPS because she was extremely inexperienced. A senior officer who's mastered the art of interogation or questioning could have easily obtained more information using various techniques

For some reason, the scene where the officers first entered the building, Mo's friend sitting on the ground doing CPR, panicking, gave me an incredibly uneasy feeling. I watch quite a lot of content like this, but for some reason that scene had a certain level of "I can't imagine how traumatizing this is" to it. I'm struggling to explain my feelings, as obviously EVERY one of these cases is real, but that scene especially felt REAL. It felt raw. Absolutely horrific case. I hope the victim's family, as well as her friend, get the help they need to overcome the pain this has caused. I wish them all the best.
Because she was handling it like she should. There was no screaming or craziness. It makes it easier to put yourself in her shoes.
and that it happened in her home... I know that has to be terribly difficult to come home every day to that memory.
I thought she was the one that did it by the way she was acting
It's feels raw because you would react the same way as she did. No heroic bullcrap. No brave face. Just feelings of loss and confusion. Being relegated to that same perspective we once had as a child looking for an adult in a time of need.
It's because she is similar to you. You identify with her. Sex, race, age, style, and so on.
Killing an ex because of jealousy is a pathetic.

That detective just violated that woman’s rights by continuing to question her.
She absolutely did not. You have to make a clear declarative statement in order to halt the interrogation and even that clear statement can be negated by volunteering information.

There are many cases where lawyers would have saved individuals from a life sentences. Always have a lawyer because at the end the day they care for your best interest in any moment innocent and guilty!
Attorney pov, we actually do not care whether you are genuinely guilty or not. What we care about, are the evidences connected to the storyline and charges really solid or wrongful.

That female cop is extremely lucky to still have a job, she is incredibly unprofessional and everything after the request for a lawyer becomes inadmissible. Her actions could have resulted in a terrible scenario.
Yesss that cop was getting on my nerves she could have put the case in jeopardy if Caitlin had answered any questions after she asked for a lawyer and then not allowing her to leave. SMH
Yes, but she's also very young to be a homicide detective. Someone so inexperienced should have someone with her or watching her through the mirror when she's interviewing a murder suspect.
Unfortunately, she did not legally request an attorney. It's incredibly stupid that people should be expected to know this, but your request has to be clear and unequivocal. "Should I have an attorney" doesn't count. You have to say "Get me an attorney" or "I will not speak to you without a lawyer".
@@anonomyous65 Exactly. Which means the young cop was actually great, trying to hook her with "your side of the story" etc etc to keep her talking. She had every right to stand up and go home, or to wait until an attorney was with her. So the job of the cops is to persuade her to stay talking until she insists on using her rights. Which she didn't do, so that evidence would have been good to use.

O that female detective is ANNOYING! 😣
This “cop” needs MASSIVE training!!!!! What a train wreck!
She throws away the girl's bike to "mislead" the cops, yet she fails to remove the bullet casings from the crime scene and doesn't think of getting rid of the vehicle she used to drive to the murder site. Bruh.
Ladies be careful with someone who just recently break up with an EX or are going through a breakup. Thank god for the detectives who managed to gather actual evidence.
You do realize there are other detectives outside the room watching the video footage and they all come up with a plan before one goes in. Meaning it wasn’t just the female detective deciding to say that info it was the whole group of investigators that gave her the okay with revealing that info.
@@emmasmith7841i love how you act like she couldnt just....go off the rails? that and the fact she cant even formulate a full sentence without the use of "um" yeah im gonna say she chose to do that on her own
Hearing the woman ask if she should keep going jolts flashbacks of a similar scenario.
Logically i understand it, but i wqs put in a room, the detectives had already interviewed family, ex girlfriends, etc. They put the pressure on and its just a lot when you are already broken.
I think that is something often missed when someones partner for instance is killed and they are grieving. Then interrogated and have their whole history uprooted. A necessary aspect of the investigation, just not something often discussed.
