    If you've made it this far in the description, remember to be safe when creature adventuring! Most wild animals can cause injury if harassed, and I do not recommend attempting to capture any creatures without purpose and practice. The reason that I interact with wildlife is to produce these educational videos, and I have years of zoology experience under my belt. Also, I always ask permission from a land owner before exploring on their property, and you should do the same.
    Keep adventuring everywhere, and keep your adventures safe at all times!

    I’ve been following your videos for a while now. I’m originally from NC but I have been living on Oahu for just over a year now for my graduate research and I’ve seen these guys all over, especially during the rainy season. My graduate advisor actually researches these invasive species here on island. Not a lot to be done to eradicate them at this point, and locals would not be happy with any sort of large scale pesticide use outside of the pineapple plantations in central Oahu. Awesome video!

    We saw literally thousands of these snails in Ecuador, they have completely taken over the areas around Guayaquil. Still a very cool and impressive species, I would love to see them in their native range one day. Really solid information in this one, I did not realize that they were so casually introduced into Hawaii, nor did I know that they threw in rosy wolfsnails too. Why can’t people ever learn from their previous conservation mistakes? Great video as always!

      Dang that's wild, I didn't realize how prevalent they are down there! Yeah I'd love to see an absolutely massive one back in their native range so I can really appreciate it. I know, right? It's like using fire put out a fire. Thanks for the feedback!

    I guess the upside is they're pretty slow. Always a bummer when invasives are interesting and unique. "/ I'm guessing the next video is not going to be from Hawaii.

      Yes that's true, if all invasive were boring I'd be much better at arguing against them haha. You are correct, next video is not Hawaii 😎

    I've got a good sense of what could and should become successful, you and your videos have huge potential, as far as here, you just need more views and attention, but I could picture you getting pretty big. Personally I like it like this, but I could picture your vids having a bit of theme music and such through out here and there, I like this though.
    Good luck

      @@TheWildReportOfficial i wouldn't do anything too loud or crazy but you know how it is, seems like the big dogs always have a little bit of that. Like I said I personally like it more chill like yours but I'm a grump lol, I hate melodramatic stuff and over acting, so depends who your after.

    Has Hawaii at least had some success at keeping their invasive species under control?

    • @TheWildReportOfficial
      @TheWildReportOfficial  3 місяці тому

      It depends on the invasive and the island. Some of the islands have had success removing invasive large mammals byu commodifying them, but it doesn't work everywhere.

    Are these snails edible?
    If so, crumbed and deep fried with a sweet chili dipping sauce.
    Yum!
