Hammock hitches = game changer! I need to get my hands on these. Would make things much easier, having to adjust the height for each person. Appreciate the video!
Hi, thanks so much for the info. I'm in the UK and have a very low ceiling (94inches/2.36metes) I'd really like to know what I can hang in this space. I'm thinking of getting silks as I can then transport it outside and also use it as a hammock, what can I hang for versatility please? Any advice gratefully received!
I hadn't heard of a hammock hitch before today. Is that because it's more common in the aerial yoga world? Would you recommend it for performing? I'd imagine it might wear more quickly than the O ring. It also seems a little susceptible to slippage for those of us who do wacky drops while spinning in our slings! Is that right?
Is the texture the same as aerial silks because I’m thinking of using my old silks as a hammock and getting a longer silk so is it the same or do I have to buy the hammock fabric or can I use my old fabric thx💕
Hi Olivia! While it is possible to rig a hammock using Aerial-8's, it uses more fabric and it is not as cost effective as the rigging options we show here. It also uses up more of your available height, and doesn't adjust as easily as a hammock hitch. Thanks for your question, and fly well!
Uuuggghhhh, I just got my silks in the mail. The rig itself is so long that it brings it lower than my Yoga swing that I have on a pull-up bar :/ I might just have to hang it like a hammock. Thanks for the tips ♥
Yeah I am doing the same thing. I have low ceilings so I purchased this opening swivel caribiner from Amazon. Aerial Practice has a blog post about this. I'm using that swivel and caribiner in one and hitches instead of rings or whatever. Getting a triangle caribiner as well to distribute the load better when using just one attachment point. Oh and I got a set of two caribiners for hammock.
Exactly what I’ve been looking for🤗 Seriously been researching rig setups for hours and you answered my question in the first 30 seconds!
Great video !! I would mention the correct way to rig it to a ceiling or righing point. A lot of people are using daisy chains which is not safe.
Best video I've seen about rigging and bro has an awsome voice!
Really love the hammock hitch! So easy to use!
Yes! We love these hammock hitches and are so glad you are enjoying them too, Ivy!

Where is the ceiling mount?

Yes! Our low stretch tricot fabric is used for both hammocks and silks, and you can absolutely repurpose your silk as a hammock! Fly well!
Can I use this method to rig split color silks? So for example one silk is blue and the other silk is red?
What about an aerial-8?

My ceiling beams are slanted is it still safe to mount my aerial yoga hammock
We always recommend to consult with a structural engineer before any rigging to ensure your set up is safe and effective, Fly Well!
I’m a beginner and I don’t know where to start! I want to use this for help with stretching and back pain. Any recommendations?
