The fact that Gilbert didn't want to face Violet after all those years because of guilt, cause he regret using Violet as one of his soldiers (even though he didn't want it) and then there's Violet suffering because she cannot get over about the Man who gave her name and her life a meaning, their story was just too precious, specially their sacrifices.
Because they actually developed the relationship and showed emotion on both the Majors and Violets part. The writing is extremely well done but so is the actual animation. It doesn't rely on some pre-made love story, it shows the development of Violets feelings in a short but well made way. It also doesn't skip the anguish she experiences so it hits all the harder.
The anime ending leaned towards the Major on the otherside and the movie that's yet to come out shows the Major alive. It's kind of neat that they allowed Violet to grow emotionally and age. So when she actually reunite with the Major, she's ready emotionally and she'll be of age, so there's no questions about age difference with the two or the love they feel for each other. Ahhh....can't wait for the movie release, or a continuation of the anime. ...patiently waiting.🥰

I have watched this anime .. what make me touch when she want to know what is 'love' when she nearly to know her heart slowly broken in pieces ... And the people her love already gone 😭💔
Even though they are at least 15 years apart i ship them soo hard. Love really is something that knows no limits.You just can't help but fall in love more and more.
😥😥😥😥 everytime i think about violet evergarden it hurts so so much deep inside 😭 i always wish if gilbert could come back alive. it aches heart how does it really feel to love the person whom you can never see or hear again 😣
The one part i actually started busted out in tears and started crying was when violet asked Erica if she was worthy of being a doll idk why but it just made me feel like she was second guessing her worth and wandering if she was worthy to find out what I love you meant since thats one of the main reasons she became a doll was to find out what Gilbert meant by that before he went MIA theres was also the part where Ann was opening all those letter from her mom after her mom had passed... this anime is just full of a ton of emotions and feelings and everyone interprets it in their own way.
Those kind of things are a lot to take in. It makes me feel like wanting to help everyone in the world, which realistically saying is impossible. It destroys me from the inside, so I keep my distance from this.
I didn't even watched the anime (but I want to do it the next time, because I always see AMVs of this😅) and it makes me cry everytime I watch that video, I don't even know why!! I could cry a river💔😭
Who could have known after all she did for others, what awaited her was nothing, but pain, sorrow, and despair. She didn't deserve what she got in the end. But, I guess that's just how life works, what/who you need the most is what/who you end up losing.
