Thank you so much, I have watched many tutorials and they go on so much with all sorts of detail that in the end you are not sure what to do. This makes me feel more confident to actually try it myself... thank you so much.
This is lovely. Now I have even more reason to shop at Home Goods. Hubby is not going to be pleased 😅. Seriously I love watching the whole process from beginning to end. It’s so satisfying to see everything coming together with the frothy effects.
Thank you first time watcher and I subscribed you made it simple and easy to follow. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to seeing more of your easy descriptions on how to work with epoxy, so they not all this easy this one was lovely❤
goodness, this is silly simple- thanks so much for making this tutorial. The results are so pretty - is there a finish over it to make it more durable? What is the dry time? I'm guessing these are not dishwasher safe.
so I tried this over the weekend. Very happy with the sea and color blending there, but it seems as I let the resin cure, I lost most of the detail in the waves and foam. I expected some spreading as the resin self-leveled of course, but is there any particular trick to keeping the detail in the foam and cells as the resin settles and cures?
so see you used some bamboo boards but there is a lot of caution out there about resin not adhering to bamboo without some surface preparation. did you prepare the bamboo boards in any way before starting the project?
@@DIYeasycrafts thanks for that. I ask because I tried to do a bamboo cutting board and the resin literally ran off the board without sticking hardly at all. there could be a few reasons for this but the board is VERY smooth and the bamboo is quite dense and while I can't tell if it's oiled per se, roughing the surface a bit with sandpaper seems like a smart prep step to get better adhesion between the resin and the board.
I saw this and thought...I can totally make one for a birthday gift, but I went on the website you posted....I'm so totally lost on what to order and how to get the colors, etc, is there more videos on that?
Hi I’m struggling with my waves did you leave the colours to thicken? I find when I blow mine my blue starts to run off the board not sure where I’m going wrong 🫣
What type of resin are you using? Blue can and will drip off the board a little. I usually balance board on 4 cups while working on it. After the resin dries just send off the drips. Important thing is how the waves look.
Easiest video I’ve watched!
Going to do this today!! Thank you for the video!!❤
Great looking boards! Thanks for sharing! 👍😃
Thanks for watching!
I've seen those boards before and wondered how they made them. Thanks for showing us how it's done. It turned out nice!

Do you make your white pigment in resin less dense than the colored waves so it doesn’t sink?
No not at all

Do you do anything to the boards before you start adding the epoxy?
I did not but you could wipe them down with alcohol to make sure the epoxy sticks
so see you used some bamboo boards but there is a lot of caution out there about resin not adhering to bamboo without some surface preparation. did you prepare the bamboo boards in any way before starting the project?
No nothing at all. As with all store bought boards just make sure they are not oiled. If they are a quick sanding with 220 grit cleans them up.

Love it!
So glad!
hi may i ask what coating you use ontop of the epoxy making it food safe. Btw love the video mate great quality. Love from the UK!
The epoxy I use is from totalboat. Its already food safe. No coating needed
Ah ok that’s good didn’t know they made that type of stuff. I presume it’s water based. thank you adam

Just go to totalboat.com order their makerpoxy. You can even call the help number
Hi I was wondering if there was a special white you used from tool boat?
no I have used white resin dye from arts and crafts store. In a pinch have even used a little white paint mixed into the resin
Thank You !!
What is the working time with the epoxy?
I do not remember the exact working time but you have plenty of time to work and play with the waves. Easily have 15-20 minutes
Think you could make knife scales?
Absolutely, Im already on my third attempt. Think I got it figured out. Will post video shortly
@@DIYeasycrafts Awesome! I’ll make sure to keep an eye out.
Omg the worst tutorial
