I think Lacus Cylne and Kira Yamoto fit well together. I’m not a fan of Kira with flay. One thing I like Lacus she isn’t annoying she loves peace and Harmony. And Kira and Lacus are the cutest couple

@@lordalpharius5928 this is wrong on more than 1 account. First of all the thing with Flay and Kira was 100% Flay's fault. Kira was in an incredibly vulnerable mental state due to everything was going on and Flay took full advantage of it to manipulate kira to do her biding, he mostly didn't even realize what was happening until it was too late. And for Lacus he didn't hook up with Lacus until far after they drifted apart and it was all coming from Lacus. Also like another user said Athrun and Lacus were friends nothing more and you can see that a mile away from how the two act around each other. Their behavior is nothing even remotely resembling a loving couple clearly just a political engagement.

Otherwise everything she did or intended to do turn on death ears, as she actually developed feeling for him. Especially when Cagali was talking with him, enough to say that flay by that point seen Kira as a Bf more than a tool for her genoism. Plus her genoism against coordinators ended when she treated as guest, while as a prisoner on a ZAFT ship and treated them as humans; rather than as monsters to be feared in early episodes. Yeah she manipulated Kira, but Kira allowed that to happen as he always wanted to get inside her pants.

Humans are much more vulnerable to being seduced when depressed or confronted with extreme conditions which makes them feel alone. Kira had his world turned upside down by everything that happened, it would've been unnatural and completely unbelievable for him to resist flay when it all happened. Case in point look at their conversation when Sai confronts Kira about it. That puts into perspective why he fell for flay. It literally had nothing to do with getting into her pants, despite him liking her for a long time. What made him become Flay's pet for a good 10 episodes was the fact that in all the chaos he finally had a shoulder to rely on and someone who would give comfort him in his time of need. That was literally it. Even Murrue and Mu talk about it and realize why it happened and both admit their own guilt it came to that because they forgot to treat kira as a kid and not as a tool of war.
Well considering how things played out with Cagalli its probably for the best that Kira and Lacus ended up together. But it was nice that even though it was a political arrangement meant to boost moral of the Plants both Athrun and Lacus did care about each other and if series had continued with that they wouldve stayed happy even if it had been forced upon them
