My dad just had part of his lung removed due to cancer. While he is hospitalized my mom and I picked up a Blackstone for him because he has wanted one for a long time now. I couldn't get the thing to smoke during seasoning and was getting ready to pack it up and return it. You just saved the day. He comes home from the hospital tomorrow and he will have a seasoned, ready to go griddle waiting for him. Thank you!

You are a life saver!!!! Hubby cooking lunch for company…. Can’t get enough heat to cook…. Switched tanks…. Switched regulators…. Finally gave up and moved cooking indoors. I found your video and went outside and “fixed” his Blackstone.
I gave you most of the credit! 😜

Man! Thank you so much! I havnt used my black stone in a year and a half.. fired it up this morning and flame was super small on high… would not get hot, but I turned on propane tank on high and then lit… I did exactly what you did and it was full flame! Thanks buddy!!

Ok ScottCooks, you just won "The Most Awesome Fix on the Internet Award". This.is.freaking.fabulous!!
I'll admit, I saw the video and was like "Nah, this is not going to work, but what the heck, simple enough to try". First time, after three cracks, I opened it fully and had the same problem. Second time around, I did just the three cracks and started all four burners and it just lit up. Thank you, thank you thank you.
    You rock.

    Hi Scott,
Just letting you know...you are my new best friend! Went to fire up my Blackstone griddle for the first time this year. I'm in western Kansas, we get a ton of wind, but today, April 9, 2022, the temperature hit 82 degrees with no wind. Time to grill out! Had the burners on high, a full tank of propane, and a flame that was maybe 1/8" out of the burner. Something's not right and I'm not happy. To solve my problem I went to UA-cam of course. I searched for something like: Blackstone grill on high with small flame. You're video came up. I did what you said, and suddenly, I was not grumpy anymore...you solved my problem. Thanks for posting your video. It may not seem like much to you, but it was a huge win for me. The steaks were great thanks to you. If you ever come to Goodland, KS, I'll take you out to dinner.

Thank you. I've owned my Blackstone for two years and cook on it four times and had same issue. It would get hot after a while ,put food on and as heat transfers into food griddle would loose heat and couldn't catch up so food basically stopped cooking. Noticed flame is always low. We've waisted time, food, and money on this thing so I just stopped using it and has sat for two maybe three years now. I started trying to season and cook on it again and remembered why I stopped using it, as it was doing low flame again. Figured regulator may be trash but going to try this. I've tryed disconnecting and staring over with some results. Hopefully I can get it to flame next time if not I was think I might need a new regulator. Very agervating.
